Turning 20
Name of Maker: Cheri Sellers
Turning 20 - At my old job, I was able to teach staff and some of the clients to quilt. It was great fun. When I changed jobs, this was given to me as a going away gift. I had no idea it was for me. I helped cut it out and did some sewing on it. I was told it was for a cousin out of state. I was so surprised when it was presented to me... I treasure it !!!!

Ovarian Cancer National Alliance Block - This is another block for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. This one is for a co-worker who is a survivor. I did not make it in time for the IQF, so I don't have a picture of the whole quilt, and I don't know which quilt it belongs to now. (You can find the project at http://www.ovariancancer.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=Page.viewPage&pageID=490)
Sarah's Flower Garden
Name of Maker: Susan Fiore & Claire Silverman
Sarah's Flower Garden - My daughter-in-law and I made this comfort quilt for my grand-niece, age six, who was facing fifty-two weeks of chemotherapy. We wanted a quilt that would "get better with washing" as chemotherapy's side effects would require frequent laundering if Sarah were to use it as intended.

Karen's T-shirt Quilt
Name of Maker: QuiltingBMom
Karen's T-shirt Quilt - Karen wanted a keepsake quilt of t-shirts she had collected throughout the years. We met through a co-worker that knew I quilted. So, Karen commissioned me to do the quilt. The project took so much work that I had to go to Richard's studio and hire him to stipple quilt it on his longarm. The finished quilt was 108" x 108" and way too big for my home sewing machine!

Strip Spin
Name of Maker: Peggi Yacovissi
Strip Spin - Bonnie Hunter's patterns on quiltville.com are innovative patterns for using scraps. This one uses light and dark strips sewn in alternating pairs, cut and resewn to make the spinning pattern. I pulled all my autumn colors for this one. It was a very fast construction technique.

60 Years Together - This quilt was a 60th wedding anniversary gift to my in-laws from the family. It has 60 stars of various sizes and fabrics. Every Which Way
Name of Maker: PeggiYac
Every Which Way - Every Which Way is a convergence of two bright batiks that work with the flower print that frames it. The hand appliqued bias bars draw the eyes in many directions. This quilt has hung in the Schweinfurth Gallery in Auburn, NY, and the Radius Shop in the Pennsylvania State Museum in Harrisburg, PA after its debut in the 2004 Exhibit of the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild in Wellsboro, PA.
