The treasurers below - An under sea reef with fish, sea weed and turtles. Embellished with beads, yarn, crystals and shells. The pieces are hand appliqued and the quilt is machine quilted.
Ancient Memories Wedding Quilt - Double wedding rings for the longevity of marriage and elephants, known for their memories, and a dragon fly for strength make up my wedding quilt.
Silence - The pot was drawn by class instructor but the layout with shadows and color are my idea, and totally different than from the original design. All fabrics are cut in to very small pieces and than puzzled on a white piece of fabric. After it is heavily quilted with several colors of tread.
Vortex - This spiral seems to move beyond the quilt's size and has the feeling of infinity associated with fractals. It has a piped binding and is quilted with variegated rayon thread.
Fractured Fractal - Spirals are common in fractals, which are pattern with theorhetically infinite permutatons. The main image was modified to simplify the background. The orange ribbon border is made from a single piece of gradation-dyed fabric.
A Thank You - I wanted to make a thank you wallhanging for my son's Kindergarten teacher. I took the class photo and printed it on muslin and used that as my center. The teacher loved it - it was a nice keepsake for the year.
2008 Spring Auction Quilt - I was asked to do a quilt for the school auction and I've had this pattern for a long time. I used my stash of Thimbleberries fabrics.
Mosaic Miracles - This quilt was made in honor of my son. I did the design using a photo without the aid of a computer. The fabrics are commercial cotton with one of the dyed to achieve the correct values. It is hand pieced and hand quilted.
Stairway to Cat Heaven - I made this quilt for a fund raising auction for a no kill cat shelter, I'm not sure where it ended up but the shelter is in Chicago. The original pattern does not have the cat sitting in the moon.
