Converge Away - I had to try this after Rickys demo. I just love it. Ricky signed converge away in my book in May. I thought this would be an appropriate title.

Violet - Large border is a photo on silk of a deteriroating tin building. Purple is a photo of tubing transferred to fabric with gel medium, Photo of my grandmother colored in Photoshop and transferred to fabric with get medium.

Dad - I used a photo of my Dad when he was little and added several layers in PhotoShop. I used a digital ground on a comercial batik but did not completely cover the fabric. Then I printed and washed the fabric. Where there is no digital ground the print washed away giving the distressed look. I gave this one to my Mother and intend to make similar ones for his grandchildren.

Black is not Black - Pieced with various black fabric, embroidered with a Hollis Turnbown quilt design, then bleached with Softscrub and a brayer to get the different colors of the "blacks"

Holly's After Glow - I took a photograph that my Great Aunt Vivian took of her late husband, Holly, and his dog. I made her a wall hanging of it to have at the nursing home.
4 Hour Quilt

4 Hour Quilt - I decided to see how quickly I could make a wall quilt. Tha background is a variegated cotton. I covered it with silk flowers and tulle, did some quick FM quilting, added hand beading in the center, bound it and added a hanging sleeve in just under 4 hours.

Aiming for That Star

Aiming for That Star - I started this quilt after I began visiting Jinny's website http://www.jinnybeyer.com. My skill at the time were not quite up to a flat center and insetting the y-seams. This was also around the time I started learning how to machine quilt. Oh the agony. Earlier this year I decided to take out all of the quilting, re do the whole thing and this is what I came up with.

Pony Quilt - 20 blocks of 10 different colors, half reversed. Easy to do with a patchwork theme.
Star Twist

Star Twist - This quilt was inspired by the Twisted Log Cabin quilt seen on Simply Quilts and was pieced using the Square In A Square technique by Jodi Barrows using a 15 degree angle and no paper. The hardest part was getting the colors in the right place.
Wonky Quarters

Wonky Quarters - As a precision piecer, occasionally I need to take a break and do something completely different. The blocks for this quilt were mading with uneven quarter square triangles using a strip piecing technique with no seams matching. The quilt top was donated at our last quilt guild meeting and will be quilted by one of the members.
