Mary's Piping Hottie Macaroni - Our guild (River Valley Quilters) had a 1 day workshop with Susan Cleveland- what a hoot! Susan is such fun!! Enjoyed making this quilt even though piping the macaroni could be a bit tedious when doing a large throw size quilt.
Winter Scraps - I wanted a masculine looking quilt for a guest room. This was perfect as it allowed me to use up almost all the 6 in fabric swaps that I had.
Shoes - I combined 2 patterns from Custom Creations to make this wall hanging for a bedroom that I redecorated. It was a lot of fun finding all the different fabrics.
Remembering - My granddaughter passed away in July 2004.. I made this photo transfer quilt from pictures supplied by my daughter. I also used the clothing she was wearing in the photos and a patch from a much loved quilt that I had made for her.

The Elvis designs are machine embroidered on my Bernina 200 Artista sewing machine. The center top square has printed photos of Elvis and his family and
Mariners Compass - I decided to make this Mariners Compass into just a circle, and not add the border to make it into a square quilt. I used Splash by Blank Quilting.
Sweet Dreams - This quilt was made using vintage handkerchiefs, with added embellishments of vintage crocheted items, lace, etc. I used a foundation of yellow, and used a border print around the edge.
Atlantis - As soon as I saw this Atlantis pattern, I knew I had to make it in Rock Candy from Blank Quilting, to capture the pearlescent effect the fabric has.
Name of Maker: Laura quilt and fellow Candlelight Guild members
Batik Puzzler - Constructed of batiks. A group of us exchanged twelve blocks each month receiving one of our original blocks and eleven from the other participants. The next month we did the same thing with a new block pattern. This exchange lasted for twelve months.
The Old Red Barn Still Stands - I created this quilt from a photograph of the barn on our family farm. It measures 33 inches wide and 25 inches tall. It is a quilted birthday card to my Dad who turns 90 soon. It will hang on the wall by his bed in the nursing home where he lives.
Watermelon Sherbert Swirl - Pieced border with decorative fusible web used in the center. Machine and hand applique were used on this quilt. As with most of my other wall quilts...I like embellishing!
