Matt's Phoenix
Name of Maker: ipquilter
Matt's Phoenix - This quilt took four years, start to finish. The original pattern had 1/4 in finished strips. I enlarged it to make it easier. Won't make that mistake again! This bad boy weighs 9 lbs. It is draped over my queen-size bed.
Serenity
Name of Maker: Sharon Blaylock
Serenity - First art quilt I have made. I made rocks using Texture Magic. I stitched the water with King Tut and a serpentine stitch. It was made for my niece, who needs serenity with 5 children under 8 with twins at 13 months.

Family Tree - I designed this quilt pattern for my husbands family reunion in Oregon in 2006. We had a blast at the reunion and everyone signed the tree. This pattern will soon be available for purchase at www.3quacksquilting.com.
Naughty or Nice
Name of Maker: Lisa Clarke
Naughty or Nice - I designed this Christmas wall hanging for my company 3 Quacks Quilting N Stuff LLC. It shows to elfs, Sanata and Rudolf peeking in thru a window. It is very festive and fun for Christmas time. The pattern is available at ww.3quacksquilting.com
Landscape for Margaret
Name of Maker: Jan Carter aka MissesStitches
Landscape for Margaret - This was a guild challenge. Given a bag of "scraps," make something out of them. I chose to make a landscape, as there were some fancy fabrics and trims in my bag.
Disney Dreams
Name of Maker: Lisa Clarke
Disney Dreams - I made this quilt for my friend for Christmas last year. We had gone to disneyland 5 times together during 2008. So I adapted a pattern I found in a magazine and added pictures of her and her daughter in disneyland. Then for the quilting I used my Cricket Cutting machine and used silloettes of Disney Charecters to quilt on the quilt and for the border. It was a ton of fun to make and it only took 2 weeks from my first shopping trip for fabric to my last stitch.
The Fantastic Purple and Pink Horse
Name of Maker: Skyler White and Suzan Engler
The Fantastic Purple and Pink Horse - Waterbased Resist, fabric paint, and PFD fabric. Everytime Skyler sees it she lights up and comments that she cannot believe that she painted it!
Barnyard Buddies
Name of Maker: Ida Henscheid
Barnyard Buddies - I took the My Three Bears Patterns and re-drew barnyard animals to match the nursery theme of Barnyard Animals.
Golden Star
Name of Maker: Joann Brown
Golden Star
Red Splendour
Name of Maker: Raynor Thomas
Red Splendour - I designed the quilt based around some embroidery designs by Renee Fallon for Northcott Fabrics. These designs were worked in pearl cotton to give them some depth.
Roses & Love
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Roses & Love - I designed this to use some coordinated fabric in my stash. I played by folding the fabric and cut hexagons and riangles that fit together. Using the green flange, binding and dimensional wave calmed the busy print and tied it together.
Antique Rose Quilt
Name of Maker: Kenny Kreations Machine Embroidery
Antique Rose Quilt - This quilt was made with my new Janome 11000 embroidery machine. These designs are just lovely to sew out and i am more than happy with the finished project.
Shadow Wreath
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Shadow Wreath - The flowers are cut and fused, then appliqued with decorative thread used to show veins, leaves, etc. Then the whole center is covered with organza, borders added, and quilted heavily. I used a flange in the final border and scalloped the edge. Our quilt guild selected this design to make a queen sized raffle quilt benefiting the humane society.
Steps from the Sea
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Steps from the Sea - Original design using various sizes of "flip flops" on a water scene background. I quilted it heavily with McTavishing technique and freemotion thread painting.
Desert Glow
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Desert Glow - The French Braid technique gave me a chance to experiement with colors, giving a glow from the center out. The inner border picks up the color.
Desert Blend
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Desert Blend - After piecing in the circle, each block is embroidered ion 8-9 hoopings. My colors are quite different than those called for, but I think they work well. I used my embroidery machine and learned a lot.
Noah's Ark
Name of Maker: Sally Fly
Noah's Ark - Lisa Moore taught this class on a Quilt for a Cure cruise. It is constructed with fabrics designed by Jim Shore. He was there and signed the quilt. It has several interesting techniques, including a dimensional wave. I am saving it for a future greatgrandchild.
