My spring hummer
Name of Maker: Lynn Gerhard
My spring hummer - This is my first attempt at a stained glass wall quilt. I used my own fabrics and played with the overall effect. I did learn a lot doing this pattern, and am pleased with the outcome. I, like lots of others, love hummingbirds so this hanging makes a good addition to our home.
Oregon Star
Name of Maker: Lynn Gerhard
Oregon Star - I purchased this pattern while spending our summer in Oregon, on the coast. My husband fell in love with it - so I mixed the colors differently and dedicated the quilt to him. He is the star of my life. The original had all colors mixed together, and in mine I kept each star with a couple of shades of the color spectrum, then let them fall where they may in the final layout. We love this bright, cheery quilt.
Maia's Star
Name of Maker: Lynn Gerhard
Maia's Star - My 18 month old niece who had had an aneurism, was in a coma. They wanted to stimulate her vision. So I made this wall/cuddle quilt of black, white and red for her. Her name is Maia which is the name of the brightest of the seven sisters star constellation. Maia is still struggling to overcome her problems, but is out of the coma and seeing things around her. Hopefully this quilt will help with her therapy while comforting her at the same time.

Andrew's Eighth
Name of Maker: Joan Gunter
Andrew's Eighth - Andrew's quilt was made for his special eighth birthday. It provided several challenges for me and some mistakes which haven't diminished his love for the quilt one bit. I learned a lot about "busy" fabrics. Both front and back are busy and I chose thread which blended so well that I had trouble keeping track of the quilting.
