For JJ
Name of Maker: Kim S. Williams

Sunshine
YELLOW
Name of Maker: Elsie Vredenburg
YELLOW - A guild challenge to use the butterfly fabric and the theme was JOY. Yellow is the color of sunshine and a joyful color.
Star
Name of Maker: Lynn Kelly
Star - Came as a kit. I knew nothing about quilting, so I made up my rules and design as I fitted the precut blocks together. Then because nothing was 'square' I appliqued the star onto blocks of white fabric. Crazy, but that's how it all came together!
Alaskan Sampler
Name of Maker: Linda McCutcheon
Alaskan Sampler - Did this project together with some friends, each making the same quilt. It was fun learning to do the different blocks. The blocks have fun designs that relate to Alaska: Crossed Canoes, Salmon, Wild Flowers, Delectable Mountains, etc.
Everything a Season
Name of Maker: Linda McCutcheon
Everything a Season - I purchased the pattern and panel from Block Party Studios, Inc. The snowflake was challenging but I really like the way it came out. The sun proved to have low contrast in its block, as well as the pink flower, so I outlined both with embroidery. This makes a lovely wallhanging in our church.
Let It Shine
Name of Maker: Linda McCutcheon
Let It Shine - Constructed this wall-hanging to hang in the entryway of our church in Bayfield, Wisconsin, which is the gateway to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. I had the lettering and Bible verse embroidered on professionally. Matthew 5:14-16 reads: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Kaleidoscope
Name of Maker: linmcquilter
Kaleidoscope - Several of my quilting friends and I made quilts using this pattern using the Marilyn Doheny 45-degree Kaleidoscope Wedge ruler. I made this quilt primarily to try out a new technique.
Car Accident
Name of Maker: Geneva Carroll
Car Accident - This isn't a particularly attractive quilt, however it was very healing for me to make. I was in a bad car accident 4-14-08 and in June I went into my sewing room and in 4 hours this was made. It was exhausting, but so healing. The grey strip is the ceiling at physical therapy that I have spent hours and hours staring at while using heat, ice, stem and whatever else. I'm back to making more attractive quilts now! But it felt good to get this out of me! Whew!
Guitars
Name of Maker: Cher Olsson
Guitars - This was my contribution to 'Cops for Cancer' 2006. Every year a team of cops rides their bikes from the lower mainland up the Fraser Valley raising money for cancer. Our guild makes a quilt for each of the kids they are riding for. The officers give their buddy a quilt at the beginning of the ride. Although Robbi's pattern was fused, I did mine appliquing by hand.
Bradyn's Baby Quilt
