Bear Hollow
Name of Maker: Michael Capolupo
Bear Hollow - This Quilt won a ribbon for me in the Binghamton, N.Y. Quilt Show of that year.
Let's stroll along the beach together
Name of Maker: Karen Wheeler
Let's stroll along the beach together - This is a machine applique wall hanging I did from scraps of a larger quilt. I love the earthy colors and the blue reminded me of the ocean as the browns reminded me of the sand, thus the name. I quilted it with the machine, and after finishing, noticed a tuck in the back, so removed about 1/3 of the quilting and redid it. Now I can say I really did my best on it.
Dancing Water Lilies
Name of Maker: Karen Wheeler
Dancing Water Lilies - This was just a happy go lucky quilt with friends and we cut curves and switched the centers, added a strip here or there to make it scrappy. I put my blocks together on point and borders, then quilted it on the mid arm and my home sewing machine.
My Flowers Dance for Joy
Name of Maker: Karen Wheeler
My Flowers Dance for Joy - This was my quilting bee's project and I of course had to change the pattern for myself. I rescaled the center area and made the whole table runner wall hanging smaller. I also got very bored with the flowers all the same and the leaves all the same. So I free cut them and liked the results much more! I was just beginning to quilt and tried it on this one. I love the table runner, and yet it took about a year or two to finish, due to the hand appliqué and so many other projects that took precedence. Now my mother, Thelma Level Hooter, has it and is hanging it on her home wall in Texas, as I gave it to her for the 2009 Christmas present.
Kansas Song
Name of Maker: Mary Pfeiler
Kansas Song - This quilt was designed by me for the 2006 Kansas Prairie Shop Hop. Shops in the hop all exchanged blocks and these were used for the outer border. I used the applique pattern Prairie Sentinel for the Buffalo and Coyote in the center medallion. Sunflower blocks were added to make this a truly Kansas quilt.
Bowtie Fun
Name of Maker: Mary Pfeiler
Bowtie Fun - Another Kansas Prairie Shop Hop Quilt. Made in 2007. Each shop exchanged black and white quilt blocks that were mirror images of each other. Just felt the quilt needed some color.
El Rancho de los Comaleros
Name of Maker: Mary Ann Vaca-Lambert
El Rancho de los Comaleros - El Rancho de los Comaleros located in Mexico, was where my grandfather was born. It was selected for the traveling exhibit Tactile Architecture, 2007 in the International Quilt Festival.
Cream Batik Baltimore
Name of Maker: Debbie Jones
Cream Batik Baltimore - Started at a workshop with Jacquie Harvey at Wroxham Barns and then finished very slowly over about four years. The blocks are taken from different books - I just picked the ones I liked. I saw a postage stamp size quilt in similar colourways and thought it would be a different approach to a Baltimore. The border is my own design.
A Summer Morning's Weaving
Name of Maker: Vicki Craig
A Summer Morning's Weaving - The design of this pieced quilt came from a painting my daughter, Marlo Craig Jones, made in college. It took a lot of time with graph paper and map colors to do this. Yes, I did ask her permission before I started it.
My Tom Russell Quilt
Name of Maker: Vicki Craig
My Tom Russell Quilt - Took a class from Tom Russell at our quilt show. This picture and the next one are the same quilt. The vase and the large orange flower are embedded in the quilt.

Seattle Mania
Name of Maker: jstenkamp
Seattle Mania - Created for a dear friend who loves Seahawks and Mariners, I found novelty prints with Seahawks and Mariners logos and mixed with various coordinating shades of blues and grays. Quilt is backed with a dark blue denim. He absolutely loves it and only brings it out for show, as he's afraid to actually use it. My intention was for him to take it to the games to keep warm.
Wandering Dinosaurs
Name of Maker: jstenkamp
Wandering Dinosaurs - Made with brightly colored flannels, this quilt was a joy to make and has been very well loved by the young one it was created for.

A Message of Love
Name of Maker: jstenkamp
A Message of Love - I used various parts of this pattern to create a wallhanging for a Quilt Pink challenge. This quilt is currently residing on a wall at the Cancer Treatment Center of Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Oregon
A Convergence of Dogwoods
Name of Maker: Anneliese Bopp
A Convergence of Dogwoods - I used dogwood themed batiks from a shop hop. I embellished the quilt with a border, padded appique and gold braid around some of the appliques. The quilting is motiff quilting for every other row with rectangular patterns in between and extremely detailed echo quilting in the border.
