Vintage Tie Quilt - This is a completely hand-pieced quilt made from men's silk ties. The top was purchased at an estate sale in NY but no one there knew anything about it. I layered it with batting and cotton backing and quilted it on my mega quilter and frame.
Squiggles At Night - Vibrant Colors of Batik fabrics on a black Batik background. Free form design of strips "Squiggles" pieced into background fabric with alternate "wonky" square blocks. Good beginners quilt. Thank you!
Perri's bedspread - I wanted a batik bedspread - and had lots of batiks, so I made up a design and made the quilt. It is a rag quilt, but I use it on both sides. I had lots of extra batiks so I also made three pillows to go on the bed.
Yes, Lisa, It Has Beads - This pattern was designed with Lisa Coulombe for a class we taught at Palomar Community College. This was the first quilt I embellished with beads.
Fear, Relief, Anger - I taught a class based on Dianne S. Hire's book, Quilters' Playtime: Games With Fabric. This is my adaptation of one of the quilts from the gallery, using her "Hopscotch" method for the outer border and "Musical Chairs" for the center.
Spring Row Quilt - Seminole-pieced bunnies & fence, paper piecing, 3d flowers & carrot tops. Designed as project for community college class I taught with Lisa Coulombe.
Glory Bee - Adapted from blocks designed by Gloria Hartley for the Northern Star Quilt Guild.
