High Way to Recovery - I made this one after seveal friends were diagnosed with brest cancer. The label lists all of those who have touched my life that have either had and recovered from breast cancer or who have moved on. There is a pink ribbon for each one worked into the pattern. The woman in the picture is my 84 year old mother who is a breast cancer survivor.

Hanaka Lights - While recovering from a broken wrist I took a paper piecing class and then made this for my sister in law who is recovering from colon cancer. Each candel has 16 pieces and as you can see there are 32 of them.

My First Quilt - My very first quilt

For My Dad - This was a BOM that I started in 2005, and finished the quilt on 1/1/07.

Quilt For Scott - I purchased this kit from one of the shops visited by my very first shop hop bus tour. It was so much fun. I saw this sample hanging in the very last shop we were going to, and I knew I had to make it for my son-in-law. He had taken my 12-yr-old son both duck hunting and deer hunting this fall, andy my son loved it. Didn't get to shoot at anything, not until he's had some gun safty classes. He enjoyed the male bonding though. This was my way of saying thank you.

"But Can He Sing?" - I love birds!The outside border is a collection of birds from S. Africa & N. America, hand appliqued. The feathers are free motioned embroidered and then appliqued, by machine, to the quilt.

Africa Day 4 - Hand appliqued and hand beaded. Border is beaded using a method taught by Mary Stori. Birds are S. African and the flowers are magnolias. Main branches were stuffed as I appliqued. Extra leaves were added with neon thread.

Sammie - Pattern made from a picture of Sammie.Appliqued with fusible webbing. Background quilted with Diane Gaudynski designs learned at a class taken at Rosemary's shop, Bigsby's Sewing Center, Brookfield ,WI.

Fhyl's Flowers - I made a Phil Beaver Pattern using his fabrics. Had enough left over to make some flowers from my garden, hence the name. Fhyl's Flowers

Wooly Birds - I love birds and hand work All birds are wool, as is background. Fused in place and then embellished with wool embroidery threads by hand.

In the Meadow - Four sets of N. American birds. Reverse applique to set in circles. Circles constructed with strips of fabric of varying widths. Bias strip appliqued to outer edge of circles.

Red Hat Quilt - I made the center medallian, then passed fabric and block on to the next round. There were 6 rounds total.

Thimbleberries flying geese - A quilting customer gave me a top to long-arm quilt for her & I fell in love with it. I bought my 1st Thimbleberries Book and made a copy of the quilt for myself.

Aubrea's Ark - Traditional Rail Fence design in the center done in African animal skin prints surrounded by pairs of animals facing each other across the "fence."

Dragonflies are Free - This was made for the Hoffman Challenge of 2006. It has a lot of machine embroidery designs from MiaKayDesigns.com

Flaming Forest - I made this quilt for the 2005 Hoffman Challenge. The circles are machine applique designs purchased from MiaKayDesigns.com.

Splash of Color - I made this quilt for my son last year for Christmas.

For My Friend Julie - Made for my friend Julie. She made our children's Sr. year in high school so much fun, and this Little Quilt celebrates her newly painted kitchen!
