Colourwash Blues
Name of Maker: Alison George
Colourwash Blues - This quilt combines colourwash using autumn coloured 5" charm squares, cut diagonally into 4 x triangles and teamed with a dark blue offset for the other half of each "sqaure". The colourwash effect was then based on the autumn colours moving from light to dark across the quilt top. The back is also pieced, using many of the different fabrics and border colours.
Papi's Wish
Name of Maker: liiddz
Papi's Wish - This quilt was made originally as a throw/ Lap size. When I first presented the top to my dad, he enjoyed to see my WIP's, he requested that it be twin sized for his bed. My dad was a strong man whose health deteriorated quickly along with his ability to walk, which was why I had began it as a Lap size. However, as many quilters face the challenge of not having enough fabric on hand to make an entirely second quilt top from the same design. I added the rails on either end to give it length. This quilt is resting with my father in his final resting place. He never got to rest under it when he was here. I finished quilting it during his final stay at the hospital.

Many Loves, One True Love
Name of Maker: Wanda Travis
Many Loves, One True Love - I cut 10 inch blocks of numerous purple material, then stacked them in a layer of 4. I made 4 cuts and rotated the pieces off the top to the back and sewed them together, making sure no two same pieces were in the block. Then appliqued hearts onto each block. All hearts were done in shades of yellow, except one, a red rose material. I sewed in tea/green sashing in between the blocks. Then added a crimson red boarder and black sashing. I made this for my wonderful husband.
Sophia's pink log cabin
Name of Maker: Wanda Travis
Sophia's pink log cabin - I was asked to make a quilt for a co-workers 2 year old niece. She wanted pretty little girl colors. I made 3 shades of pink and repetitive purple strips for the opposing side. I embroidered her name in 3 inch letters across the top of the quilt and made a label for the back of the quilt with name, date, etc. I think this little girl will like it. I quilted it on my Nolting long arm quilting machine in a gentle stippling all over the quilt.

Chocolate Strawberries
Name of Maker: Unknown
Chocolate Strawberries - This is a quilt dated from approximately 1890. I bought this quilt and it has some material deteroriation in some of the brown patches. I love this quilt and want to attempt to restore some of the patches but have not yet been successful in recreating this fabric to my satisfaction. I love the pink fabrics in this quilt there are some really cool double pinks.

The old house
Name of Maker: unknown
The old house - This was a top I purchased. It was foundation pieced on still had the material on the back. It was not paper but material. I left that intact. I set the quilt with a black backing and binding. I tied it because it was too heavy for hand quilting and it seem to fit this quilt very well.
