Beads and Scraps 1
Name of Maker: Niki Beaulac
Beads and Scraps 1 - The block used is a 15" circular paper pieced block that was used in Becky Goldsmith's quilt "Everyday Best Quilt"
O Happy Day
Name of Maker: Lorna Westfall
O Happy Day - I fell in love with New York Beauty while watching a demo at a quilt show in 2003 in Mobile, Alabama. The black print fabric was the challenge fabric selected by the All-American City Quilt Guild that I belonged to while living in California. The hand dyed fabrics that I had on hand from Eccentrix Dye Works went perfectly with the challenge fabric.
Maddys Spring Tulips
Name of Maker: Sheryl Frazier
Maddys Spring Tulips - I made this quilt for my daughter and had no clue how to adapt the pattern to the size I wanted. I believe I purchased 6 yards of the pink so you can say she has a few other projects with this pink fabric included.
On the horizon
Name of Maker: jprich
On the horizon - I originally made this as a background for some applique work- however- when I laid it out to decide on placement of the applique pieces....I couldnt bring myself to cover any of it! It was lovely just as it is!
Flowering Pineapple
Name of Maker: Robin
Flowering Pineapple - I made the quilt top in 1997 and finally quilted it in 2007.
Black and White, Red All Over
Name of Maker: Robin and Sisters in Stitches
Black and White, Red All Over - This was a minigroup project. Each member chose a pattern and colors , then with everyone's help and fabric the quilt top was assembled. I gave this quilt to my son Steven. He loves using it. The picture shows only a quarter of the quilt.
Churn Dash
Name of Maker: Robin and Tuesday Floozies
Churn Dash - A minigroup project. I chose the pattern and fabric colors. Each member of the minigroup made a block using their own fabrics. I like the Churn Dash block, especially this design. When you sew the blocks together there are no points to match. The churn dash is floating in the block.
Scrappy Blue and White Jacob's Ladder
Name of Maker: Robin
Scrappy Blue and White Jacob's Ladder - I love working in scrappy fabrics. This gives me a reason why I have so much fabric.
Star Light, Star Bright
Name of Maker: Robin
Star Light, Star Bright - I created this quilt in a class taught at Road to California by Alex Anderson in January 1995. The supply list said to bring at least 24 fabrics. I brought an under-the-bed container full and discovered I still did not have enough and needed to visit the quilt store set up in the hotel. I bought at least 2 dozen more fabrics. Can quilters ever have enough fabric ?
Stars and Stripes Forever
Name of Maker: Robin
Stars and Stripes Forever - I was inspired to make this quilt in 1997 with friends during a class we took in Palmdale, CA. Each of us made blocks and shared them to make our own quilt using our own setting. For several years this quilt top was put away and then with the events of 9-11-01, I felt the need to work on this quilt while watching the frightening events on TV.
Skylar's Quilt
Name of Maker: Maureen Brown
Skylar's Quilt - this is a baby quilt I have just made for my pen pal's first granddaughter "Skylar" born 22 Jan 08, I hope Skylar's mum likes it, her grandma and I have been friends since 1960 she lives in Colorado I live in England this quilt is not quilted as I wanted it to be soft and squishy for a baby
Skylar's Quilt
Name of Maker: Maureen Brown
Skylar's Quilt - This is the reverse of Skylar's quilt
Shamu and Fizz
Name of Maker: Maureen Brown
Shamu and Fizz - Made for my son Stewart I added an extra dog as he has two Black Labrador dogs flipped and shrunk the original dog pattern by 25% to get the perspective right, then added a pull for Shamu and a ball for Fizz in relief. I also appliqued flowers on bottom left and top right to make this more individual
Trading Patches
Name of Maker: Mary Holman
Trading Patches - King-size quilt made entirely from scraps and fat quarters on hand. There are 511 different fabrics. Only one fabric was used twice. Used to play "I Spy" and one of the items to find is the fabric that was used twice. Great fun to make - I couldn't stop digging thru my scraps and making more blocks. 256 blocks in all.
Kwilt Kake
Name of Maker: Mary Holman
Kwilt Kake - Made and donated for a silent auction to raise money for publishing costs of a book about a local, well-known quilter. It contained about 3 1/2 yds of material and sold for $100.00. Great fun to make.

Love is Not Always Just Black & White
Name of Maker: Roberta Levin
Love is Not Always Just Black & White - The blocks in this quilt were paper pieced. The quilt was created for an auction benefitting an organization which serves children and adults with autism. The strong color scheme speaks to the harsh realities of life with an autistic family member, while the quilting pattern of hearts and loops, and the use of fabrics with hearts and words of love serve to remind us that love is what helps make the impossible, possible.
