The Homestead Star Quilt - Quilt size is approximately 55" x 55" with 16 10" squares. One of my first quilts using a tool called Thangles in order to make half square triangles. I am fond of stars.
Sunflowers - Love this paper-pieced applique' sunflower quilt on the pieced background. Jodi Warner was an excellent teacher at the HQNA Winterfest - 2005.
Galaxy - 4 paper-pieced 12" blocks as a result of an all day class taken with Carol Doak. Background is star-bursting pattern and reminded me of a galaxy. My air force husband worked on the C-5 Galaxy Cargo plane and this hung in his office.
Denim Kites - Wanted to make a denim quilt with a little more to it than just squares. Enlarged the pattern 200%. My daughters and I used yarn and pliers to quilt the ties. A perfect picnic quilt!
Welcome Home Quilt - Six month class taken to learn new tecniques, such as, using templates, freezer paper, different borders, scraps. I also loved the quilt. I also learned patience.
Christmas Log Cabin, or Not - I used Jo Morton fabric mixed with some others, but not Christmas. I mitered the corners and did my own quilting on this one. This is one of two. The other is for my sister who lives in a log cabin and loves it.
Sweet Sixteen-Pfaff Club 2007 - Quilt designed to teach maximize use of Pfaff sewing machine-stitches, feet, programs. Also, quilt as you go method learned. Class taken over a few months.
Harvest Spice Quilt - BOM quilt through Quilter's Attic, Pine Bush, NY. Vibrant colors and new tecniques for standard blocks included. Mitered corners for the first time.
Otters in the Bay - This was a school auction quilt. My first graders drew small pictures of sealife for the borders. I designed the quilt using a lovely panel for the center.
I wheeled with the stars, my heart broke loose.... - The title "I wheeled with the stars, my heart broke loose on the wind" is a line from a poem by Pablo Neruda
Wild Thing - This was the first quilt that I made. I used thick polyester batting and stiched in the ditch around the borders on all blocks. This was sent to my cousin in Texas to celebrate the birth of her first son. I hesitated in naming it "Wild Thing" because I didn't want to jinx her son but the colors just screamed out to me, no other name would have been fitting.
