Not Just Black and White
Name of Maker: Lenore Guajardo
Not Just Black and White - Black and White challenge with Pieces of the Heart Guild. We selected a crayon from a paper bag which is the only color that was to be used in the challenge. I designed, pieced and quilted this wall hanging for the challenge. My quilt won 1st prize at the Guild meeting winning a quilting gift. I was to enter it in the Quilt Show, however, I did not get it there in time.
Spiraling Rainbow Wallhanging
Name of Maker: Lenore
Spiraling Rainbow Wallhanging - Class with Cheryl Adam who taught the class and how to "draft" a design using a protractor, yardstick compass and graph paper. We designed our own "template" for cutting into the fabric to form the wedges. This piece contains 521 pieces, with a Mariners Compass in the center.
Rag quilt
Name of Maker: Cheryl
Rag quilt - This is a rag quilt I purchased at my local quilt shop. It was easy to do and there is no quilting when you are finished piecing, just sew blocks together and snip. It makes a great baby quilt as you can throw it into the washer often. The more you wash it the better!
Mariner's Compass
Name of Maker: Sheri Lang
Mariner's Compass - This quilt was started by a class Judy Matheison offered at our local Quilt Guild. It is the beginning of a bedspread for my king size bed. I am going to turn the quilt on point and add triangles (design of the triangles has not yet been determined) and then I am going to border the quilt with blocks made in the Quilt Show Block of the Month. I will use the same colors in the BOM blocks and am challenging myself to find out how to tie the two styles nicely into 1 quilt.

Mac's Quilt - My husband was helping with the Bits 'n' Pieces quilt show by documenting the show with a slideshow on DVD. While doing the photography, he saw the booth full of hand dyed fabric by Helen Davis of Paducah. He asked me to make a quilt from the fabrics and this one was the result.
Lemoyne Star Sampler
Name of Maker: Marsha Bray
Lemoyne Star Sampler - This quilt was inspired by my love of Lemoyne stars and the book Lemoyne Stars Made Easy by Sharon Craig. I adapted one of the quilts in the book by adding more blocks and changing the setting somewhat. I hand pieced the blocks.

Garden Wonder - While traveling in California, I saw samples made from the book, One-Block Wonders: One Fabric, One Shape, One-of-a-Kind Quilts by Maxine Rosenthal. I fell in love and have now made 3 of these quilts. It's really fun to see the blocks and the color patterns take shape.

the brown quilt
Name of Maker: Cindy Bettinger plus unknown
the brown quilt - I bought the center of this quilt in an ebay auction - a fairly uninspiring 3 block by 4 block set of stars with sashing. I was inspired to get out my browns and to a whole border of my own stars, in a scrappy brown setting, and cut wonky. In 2009, I donated this quilt to Cesar's Dog Whisperer auction to raise money for abandoned dogs.
Katies quilt
Name of Maker: Cindy Bettinger
Katies quilt - Saw this pattern at a quilt show and just had to try it. Even with pinks my husband likes it. Gave it to my niece Katie for Christmas 2007

Colorful Jewel Box
Name of Maker: Misskatieb
Colorful Jewel Box - I have always been inspired by my Grandmother, who taught me how to quilt. This quilt reminds me of her, she is truly a Jewel in my life. With her bringing so much joy and life into my own personal life, I thought it was fitting to make it as fun and colorful as she is.

More like 1665 Pyramids - This Quilt I saw in some magazine, thought I would give it a shot, Wonderful colors and great quilt to make with all of those left over pieces. I don't think I want to see another pyramid for some time. I do love the quilt just a lot of work.
