Good Morning Sunshine
Name of Maker: Carol Golden
Good Morning Sunshine - I made this quilt in a class given by Linda BAllard at a retreat in Weaverville CA. I raffled it off at a small quilt retreat with friends and my good friend, Carol Jemison won it. She has it in her house now. It is red and white pieced using 1930's reproduction fabrics. Lots and lots of half square triangles!
Fuchsia Fireworks
Name of Maker: Carol Golden
Fuchsia Fireworks - This is a bright fuchsia and blue and black abstract designed quilt. It was done with curved piecing. I machine quilted circles in a variegated thread in each block.
Struction Vehicles
Name of Maker: Beth
Struction Vehicles - Quilt was made for my son when he was about 3. I call it the struction vehicle quilt because at the time, he generally pronounced it struction, not construction. At this point, he corrects me when I call it the struction vehicle quilt, but I still call it that ;). He usually sleeps under the quilt and it has held up well to use and machine washing (I quilted a bit heavier that I might normally so it would stand up to the washing machine). I need to re-measure it, I forget the actual size.
sunflowers
Name of Maker: carol golden
sunflowers - This is a needle-turned hand applique piece. Yellow sunflowers in a bright colored vase with a blue fossil-fern fabric background. Machine quilted. The sunflowers were from a Susan DuLaney pattern and I changed the shape and pieces of the vase.

Hearts & Flowers for Lois
Name of Maker: Wanda Nott
Hearts & Flowers for Lois - These hearts are simply machine appliqued onto 6" squares. The backing is a solid lavender and the quilter, Gloria Walls disagreed with me on using purple thread. She finally gave in and we were both quite happy with the outcome - the back is as special as the front.
Flare
Name of Maker: Alison Luff
Flare - I wanted to try the Piping Hot curves technique the featured on the episode so I took some of my funkiest colors and put them together. Became a Solar Flare in my creativity.

Skyler's First Quilt
Name of Maker: Skyler
Skyler's First Quilt - This is my 8 year old granddaughter's first quilt. I cut the fabric she chose into 3" strips. We then constructed the blocks log cabin style. It is backed with Minkee. I have high hopes that she will become a quiter or sewer. Her mom will not sew on a button; if a garment needs mending she just puts it on Ebay!
