Baltimore faux Stamp - This quilt was made just before the stamp hike in price. I live near Baltimore - so there you go! A Faux Baltimore stamp at 39cents one last time!
In Honor of Bandit and Dream - Bandit and Dream were my first horses. I adopted them from Colorado Horse Rescue. They are gone now, but will never be forgotten. I made this quilt in honor of these wonderful horses.
kats love pink lemon aide - I obtained the Cat faces from a Book called Better Homes and Gardens 501 Quilt Blocks A Treasury of Patterns for Patchwork & Applique. I started it as a 1st year birthday gift but she didn't get it until she was 2. Timing is everything.
Stop Holding Your Breath - This one was challanging to get the right tones together that might be found in a marble and stone. I don't know if I aced it but it is pleasing in person. This is the first quilt i did that I really tried to stick to the instructions.
Hot Winter Nights - Don't you love Alexander Henry Fabric!! Backed with fleece. My new favorite thing to do. Super Warm. I pieced the blocks and my friend put on the border and then quilted it. My first duet.
Grasshopper's Jungle - This is a little Quilt made for a baby Shower with a Jungle Theme. The Jungle print is Alexander Henry's Coo Coo Jungle. The rest of the fabrics are just gathered along the way. I love the black and white revival.
Ambitious Beginnings - This was the first Quilt that I made. This quilt was so big that I had to trim off some and used it to piece the back. Way bigger then our king size bed. It's a big joke now. I had to have it quilted because I just couldn't squeeze it into my machine. I love this quilt and use it and wash it over and over. I can see that some of my seams are pulling apart and my dog chewed a hole thru it but I will just love it more.
Hunt Club Cozy - I made this quilt for my husband to take to his hunt camp. However, we end up fighting over it on cool nights. I used 3M thinsulate batting and then fleece for the backing. This is one warm quilt. I also sewed on a belt so that when he can tear it away from me he can roll it up and belt it. Makes it easy to travel with. I think that I may add some pockets.
Comanche Sunset - Except for binding, this quilt is made from only one fabric named "Comanche Sunset" , hence the name of the quilt. I used fussy cutting for the squares to bring out the fabric many colors.
Hot July Nite - Red cotton sateen was used for the background, and Signature cotton varigated threads where used thoughout the piece. The quilt is freehand quilting using several different motifs. My ceiling fan was the inspiration for this quilt.
Dad's 80th Birthday - Photos from the past mixed with present day photos highlight my Dad's life on his 80th birthday. His wife and children's names are quilted around the edges.
Clematis on trellis - This clematis grows in a big pot with a trellis in front of our house. I took pictures with my camera and made several sketches. Out of the sketches I draw the pattern on totally stable.
