The Shirts Off My Back - Granddaughter April (& Mom) arrived with a suitcase of t-shirts. April found a picture she liked online, and we all began to draft the pattern and cut & interface the blocks. Then I completed the quilt after they returned home. My original quilting design done on my Bernina Aurora 440 using the BSR with clear sole. We were unable to contact the poster of the picture of the overall design we borrowed to make this quilt, but it was called Josh's Quilt and was found on the 16th page of Google Image search in mid August, 2007.
Starry Starry Night

Starry Starry Night - Made in 2002 for my 2nd grandchild on his 1st birthday. It is bordered with mock ribon and the words "starry starry night" The backing is soft flannel and the quilt is tied with orange ribbon with the white/blue squares machine quilted.

Chris's Christmas Quilt - This quilt took 2 1/2 years to complete and has nearly 3000 pieces. It is made from the "Early American Tinware" collection and has just one block pattern (yankee puzzle) for both the center and border(except 3 blocks are comprized of initials).

Claude Bernard - Made for my dad who was in the VA nursing home until he passed. He loved the color red and the white/black/green coordinated perfectly. I had embroidered X's along the edge.

April Showers - It's a lovely traditional block and applique quilt. I chose as near as fabric colours as i fell in love with with the picture in the mag. Its a mix of hand applique and quilting with machine applique and quilting especially in the border. I started this in 2005 and finished earlier this year.

Carolyn's Converge - I won this beautiful piece of hand dyed fabric at my guild during a Kid's Quilt challenge. I took a class on how to make Ricky Tims Convergence quilt and had it pieced in a day. The borders were cut freehand and I quilted it very simply on my home machine.

Not Grandma's Flower Garden - This quilt was the result of a quilt challenge between friends. The theme was "Flowers, Flowers, Flowers". We each gave three fat quarters to the others in the group and could add only 2 fabrics. It was interesting to put so many different fabrics together in one quilt and make them work.

Celebrating Chandler - This small art quilt was done with "cartooned" photos of Chandler printed on muslin and then pieced together. The quilt was embellished with lots of ribbon, metallic thread, beads, buttons, etc. There is an overlay of fine smokey tuille which held the ribbon pieces, thread, etc., in place while I quilted it.

I Dreamed I Was A Flower - This quilt is the result of a recent class with Rosemary Eichorn on collage. Very fun class, and I even finished my project!! I like to add a touch of whimsy, so put the cats in from the Catberry Tails line by Debra Mason. The words in the bottom right of the photo say "I dreamt I was a flower".
