Jumble
Name of Maker: Kc
Jumble - My first quilt top made all on my own not the best choice of fabrics or colors. It can be quite painful to look at, but it keeps me warm on the couch.
Consider the Lilies
Name of Maker: eatonjan and friends
Consider the Lilies - My quilt group helped me make these blocks utilizing a growing collection of red colored fabrics. The embroideries around the outside setting blocks have little wool circle flowers. Very fun to work with, very textural. Since this is a traditional quilt block, Carolina Lily, the name of the quilt is based on the bible verses from Matthew 6:28-29, "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Reminds us not to worry-God is in control!
Grandson's
Name of Maker: G Edinger
Grandson's - This was my 2nd inked face attempt (first was Celestial Greetings). I based this work on pictures of 2 of my grandsons. I used techiques taught by Lura Schwarz Smith, whose DVD on Inking Faces I purchased after seeing her on the SQ show. My daughter, their Mom, didn't like the big head on one, but he had a big head back then..not now.

Stew Bunny in the Garden
Name of Maker: Sandi Makowski
Stew Bunny in the Garden - A few years ago, I found an abandoned adult rabbit in the park. My son named him Stew, my 2 cats quickly adopted him and he learned to use the litter box. Now he roams the back porch with the cats and does a little dance for his meals. My husband, Mike started a garden for us with lots of collard greens, kale and parsley for Stew.
Brown Bear
Name of Maker: Annis Clapp
Brown Bear - I found a picture of this quilt in the Winter 1998 issue of Country Quilts but there were no instructions so I had to write my own. Later while cleaning out a storage building I found a book with the same pattern in it, Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts by Pam Bono Designs. Lynn Isenberg is listed as the designer in the book which used white polar bears. My quilt looks more like the one in the magazine which was made by Judith Youngman. I added trees to the setting triangles on the sides of the quilt that don't show in the photo. This is my son's wedding quilt.
Rainbow of Love
Name of Maker: Annis Clapp
Rainbow of Love - This was a donation quilt for the Quilt of Dreams. I made it at the same time I was making my daughter's wedding quilt. The bride, picket fence border, and wedding ring corners were added to the quilt design after reading Briana dreamed for rainbows and getting married. Interlinking rings are embroidered in the center of the wedding ring blocks and the bride holds a yo-yo flower.
Ribbons of Hope
Name of Maker: Annis Clapp
Ribbons of Hope - This quilt was made for our quilt guild's Susan G. Komen Pink Challenge Miniature Silent Auction. I paper-pieced the ribbon blocks using my original technique and quick-pieced the inner ribbon border. I machine quilted ribbons in the corners of the outside border.
Geese Among the Stars
Name of Maker: Annis Clapp
Geese Among the Stars - Half blocks are paper pieced using my original technique with equal number of light/dark and dark/light units. Then star corners are added in 2 colors that contrast with the blocks. I chose the multi-color border first then chose batik type fabrics to coordinate.
Even Littler Brown Bird
Name of Maker: RubyTuesday
Even Littler Brown Bird - Made for my mother's 50th birthday. Group effort. Friends made the individual blocks, then I set it together with sawtooth edgings, and appliqued the border (and developed carpel tunnel!)

Seaside Rose Buzzsaw
Name of Maker: drlodown
Seaside Rose Buzzsaw - Made for my niece as a present for being my bridesmaid. She fell in love with Moda's Seaside Rose fabrics so I used as many as I could lay my hands on.
Accrington Brick
Name of Maker: drlodown
Accrington Brick - I designed this quilt to use one of Moda's jelly rolls. I've enough fabric left for another cot sized quilt.

Name of Maker: drlodown
Room with a View - I was given the large scale fish fabrics by a friend and wanted to use them without cutting them too small. This was the result.
