Norwegian Stars - I took a trip to Norway this summer and in the city of Bergen I found a LQS. The owner, Kristin Bergljot Johannessen and author of Hooked on Triangles, was there. I purchased a copy of her book and made this quilt after returning home. What a lovely memory I have of Norway. This quilt pattern decorates the cover of her book.

On the Lake

On the Lake - I took some flannels and made a quilt for Dad's birthday in February. I then took the top and back to a friend's shop and rented her mid-arm machine and after a few hours, took it home, bound it and put the label on the back. It was my first quilting on the mid-arm machine, with loop-de-loop design.

Star Burst Kaleidoscope - I took a class from Ricky Tims, in March of 2005 to learn how to make this quilt. It is still in the making. I would like to add swarovksy crystals to the quilt, after it is quilted. I haven't decided on the quilting pattern, or where the crystals will go.

Fall Festival - I took a class from Sue Gilgen and used her technique to create this quilt. I took a picture of my driveway in the fall and recreated it into this quilt. I used batiks to capture the gorgeous colors of the maple leaves. It's fusible applique and free motion machine quilted.
