Renissance Double Wedding Ring - I pieced this quilt for my friend's daughter. She bought the fabric and pattern and brought it to me. This quilt was hung in a gazebo and Melissa and Jerame were married under it June 14, 2007. Congratulations!
Flannel Storm - This was my first and last flannel quilt. I love the pattern. I made the quilt for my son and daughter-in-law to use on their 44 foot sailboat. Her favorite color is green.
Orange Star - My other daughter-in-law asked for an orange and brown wall hanging. (I think she thought this would be hard.) I love orange so I really enjoyed making it.
I'm the Athlete - My first fused crazy stitch applique class at the 2005 Paducah Quilt Show with Yvonne Porcella. I added my highschool pins and awards to complete my self portrait. Linda Hermesch
Austin's Wolf - My son wanted this wallhanging to be a bed sized quilt. One of my first challenging quilts. I enlarged the pattern by running the flying geese around the top and bottom.
Crazy Hearts - This was a guild project. Everyone else made theirs with pink and white. I had to color outside of the lines and do it in brights. It lays on our dining room table every February.
Fantasy Fish - I used needle turn appliqué to create the miniature fish and sea creatures which come to life with tiny details. It is embellished with beads, sheer ribbon and shimmery threads.
Water Lilly Pool - Needle turn appliqué is the technique used here. I love how the bright batik fabrics sparkle against the dark pool of water background.
My First Mystery - My local shop had a "Mystery Quilt" each year, and I tried it. WOW! It was very fun to see how it comes together..... This quilt is the basis of the decor in our guest room.
Roses Computer Tote - The fabric was double-needle quilted with one solid and one varigated thread prior to assemblying the tote. This technique was part of Jackie Robinson's May 2007 retreat. Also showing is a zippered envelope to help protect the computer.
VT quilt project - This quilt was sent to me by Angelina Kendra who organized the VT Quilt Project. I simply quilted the quilt, binded it and returned it to Angelina. I do not know who will receive the quilt.
un-named - I had always wanted to do a black and white with red quilt this was my first. I would like to do another with a more challenging design. This was for a last minute gift.
