Solar Convergence
Name of Maker: R Ignaszak
Solar Convergence - This was started in the first class I took from Ricky and has become a favortie of my family. Being a sci-fi fan I immediately saw two suns colliding, hence the name. The quilting is in a varigated thread and suggest the flow of "stellar" material from one sun to the other.
On Fire With the Spirit
Name of Maker: R Ignaszak
On Fire With the Spirit - I began this quilt in a class with Flavin Glover on integrating othe rblocks into a skewed Log Cabin. I used very narrow strips of the blue and greens and wide strip of the nuetrals. As I shashed the blocks a cross emerged. I then added grap vines in the open areas. All echo quilted around the applique.
My Favourite Season
Name of Maker: Patricia Lane
My Favourite Season - I ran this wallhanging pattern as a Block of the Month on my web site in 2000. I had retired the year before and my husband was going to retire that fall and we were "Heading South to Arizona" for the winter. Although Fall is my favourite season this wall hanging has a double meaning for me.
Colin's Dragon
Name of Maker: Sue O'Brien
Colin's Dragon - Constructed for a small boy who loves dragons and the color green. Finding a dragon fabric that was green was the real challenge after that it was a hoot!
Deadwood Chinatown
Name of Maker: Jan Humphrey
Deadwood Chinatown - Our guild took this class from a local Native American Quilter Vi Colombe. I used Japanese prints to see the effect. I finished it and put in my business as a display and my husband sold it to a lady from New Mexico.
Convergence in red and orange
Name of Maker: Susan O'Connor
Convergence in red and orange - I'm am in the middle of quilting it so will upload a new picture when finished. Okay , I finished the quilting and added the binding. This is a new picture of the quilt hanging in the "Quilts in the Garden" quilt in Woodland Park on JUly 21st. It's sideways since they put it up "wrong", (it fit better that way).
The Bountiful Table
Name of Maker: Susie O'Connor
The Bountiful Table - We received a kit at Moda U for a placemat in fall colors. I used some of my stash and made 2 and then used the rest of the fabric to create the center block and created this table runner. I love it! The background is in a linen and it accents the fall cottons really well.
