Happiness to Ian and Bethany
Name of Maker: Peggy Gelbrich
Happiness to Ian and Bethany - I made this quilt for my son Ian and new wife Bethany. The design caught my eye because of the trees. They were both raised in the timber industry and secondly because of the houses. They are both architects. I modified the applique to accomodate trapunto of their names and the date of their marriage. It took me several years to complete. It is hand quilting using the Thimblelady method of handquilting. It was good training for my certification to teach the hand quilting method developed by Luixin Newman.
