Leslie - I combined several of Kumiko Sudo's patterns ( Circles of the East and East Quilts West) to make this quilt for my sister-in-law.

The Road Not Taken - A Black and White contemporary quilt. I used the Yellow Brick Road pattern for the inside, then added a stripe of vibrant royal blue inner border as a contrast. This was made for my son Kyle who has managed to overcome a few bumps in his road of life.

Honu Honeys - This is from a pateren bought on my first visit to Kauai. My husband and I went SCUBA diving and saw many turtles. This quilt was made as a reminder of that trip.

Momma's Dowry - My mother ran away and got married at the naive young age of 72... yup, she eloped and called us on Friday night and said ' We're gettin' married in the morning' just like in the song... We were not able to drop everything and make the trip, so I set out to make a quilt for them as her dowry in her favorite colors. When she saw it in work, she was not thrilled with the black...she would have prefered white...but I asked her to trust me on this. She did and when she opened the finished quilt she was stunned. I warmed my heart that she likes it. She often teases me about my quilting, saying I 'take perfectly good fabric, cut it up into little tiny pieces and spend hours sewing it back together again'.

Weekend Quilt - Only the top has been pieced it is waiting to be sandwiched

Zinnias - Zinnias are bold and bright. It was in the Chelmsford Quilters Guild show last year. I am next to it!

Zebra Quilt - I saw a quilt done by Angie of the yahoo group Home Quilting Systems and adapted the rail fence pattern to include the large squares of the Michael Miller Zebra fabric. I raw edge appliqued the Zebras to come out of the squares to give a 3 dimensional effect.

Pastel Animal Trail Quilt - The embroidery designs are from Threadsketches. The background is in white fabric with pastel check fabric for the sashing and binding. It has been embroidered and then machine quilted using my DSM.

Refiner's Fire - I made this quilt in one day as I was thinking about the end of my marriage, and what it meant in terms of my faith and the future.

Fiesta de los Muertos - This is my entry for theme quilt to the Fiesta Fantastica 2007 Glendale Quilt Guild Show.

Hand Quilting #1 - My first attempt at hand quilting - techniques learned in Deb Southworth's class at Pieceful Hearts fabric store in Lisle, IL and through Roxanne McElroy's book, That Perfect Stitch.

Quilt in a Day, My #@*! - Let's just say it took me appreciably longer than 1 day!!!

Blue Christmas - I love blue Christmas decorations, so a blue quilt for Christmas seemed obvious. It took me several years to gather the fabrics, but making it was a lot of fun.

Pink Callas - This was made using a new to me technique for curved piecing. Hanging it on point was my son-in-law's idea, and I think it really makes this quilt stand out.
