Sue's Mystery
Name of Maker: Connie Ambrosio
Sue's Mystery - This was an original design by Susan Shively which she taught at "Quilt Camp" run by the Huntington NY Quilters Guild. It was a mystery quilt and we were only told how much fabric to buy and given cutting instructions ahead of time. The sharp points were all paper pieced.
Civil War Battle Lines

Eastern Pennsylvania Sampler
Name of Maker: Kathryn Price Laposata
Eastern Pennsylvania Sampler - I participated in the 2006 Eastern PA Quilt Shop Hop, and enjoyed visiting some new shops and some old favorites. I loved the organizers' choice of Jo Morton's Lexington fabric, particularly the border fabric. Each shop's sample had a unique block setting, but I chose my own setting design.
Aunt Louise's Cross Stitch

Aunt Louise's Cross Stitch - This quilt was a gift from my Aunt Louise upon my graduation from college. She, along with my mother, was one of my quilting inspirations, particularly of the joy of giving quilts to others. I now make quilts to mark special events in my family's life.

The Spinning Garden - A feast for the eye. Marvelous color and visual movement.
The Pieceable Kingdom
Name of Maker: Carole Henry
The Pieceable Kingdom - A challenge quilt that never made it into the competition because the quilt ended up larger than the required dimensions. I wrote the following around the perimeter: "...and on the day He rested a woman searched the earth, the sky and the seas...gathering , collecting, dreaming...and while singing, laughing and dancing She gathered bits of color, images of movement...She created 'The Pieceable Kingdom.' This is a good day...Let us rejoice!"
