Color Me Happy
Name of Maker: Debbie Cameron
Color Me Happy - A few ladies in my friendship group, Sew Together, got together to make quilts for a family whose father had passed away suddenly from a brain cancer. I got to make the quilt for a pre-teen girl and was told that she liked funky bright colors. These were anonymous gifts each of us made for the mom, this young lady as well as her 4 year old brother. It gave me great pleasure to be a part of this effort.

A Bed of Tulips
Name of Maker: Debbie Cameron
A Bed of Tulips - After being laid up from a major back surgery, I was able to do nothing but walk very short distances and enjoy all the television I wanted. Well, I'm not much for the tv but I stopped short when I saw my first quilt program ever, Quilt in a Day, by Eleanor Burns. I was hooked!!! Well, it certainly took me more than one day, but forever changed my life. This is my first and favorite quilt, and turned out pretty darn good, if I do say so myself!

We'll Miss You

We'll Miss You - One of our engineers at work was leaving after 5 years to return home to Japan. I remembered this folded square that I did as a "make and take" several years ago at the Sew Expo. The squares are very easy to complete. The hard part was figuring out how to connect them. After a ton of brain storming with quilting friends, I came up with the idea of using beads as connectors.
