Produce - I had been taking classes and avoiding a commitment to a real quilt, when my husband said it was time to PRODUCE. I had already managed to acquire a small stash. so one day at my local quilt shop a friend helped me cut out the stripes and couched me on what to do next. I never saw a pattern just did what my friend told me to do. When deamed large enough for a twin bed. I sewed it all together. Went home that evening with a finished top. Husband was impressed. and that is why this quilt is caled produce..

Looking out to the Second Half - I made 3 of these for 2 friends and myself to celebrate our 50th birthdays in 1998. Sandy and I visited Jan in San Diego to celebrate. The original pattern had a 4th lady -- a tall and thin one. She didn't represent any of us, so I left her out. I also made another version with only 2 ladies -- for my sister-in-law's 50th birthday.
