Catch & Release - I thought it would be fun to try a fly fishing quilt since this is my second favortie activity besides quilting. Someday I will add more embellishment, but right now I'm off to catch and release some rainbow trout!
Thai Knot - My niece married a man from Thailand and for the wedding I made this Lovers Knot quilt. It is made with dark blue, light blue blue and white print with a white back ground.
Ed's Quilt - Designed this guitar quilt for my husband who plays guitar and has a collection of Martin guitars. The guitar on the quilt is full size and border designs are from inlays on one of his Martin guitars.
Sunflowers - I started this in a class by Susan Vassalo. Orphan blocks for the background, raw edge applique, embellished with beads and machine embroidery.
Woodland Flora - I made this quilt after taking a class from Ellen Anne Eddy. I used metallic thread, perle cottons, bobbin work, yarn couching etc. This is great fun, as the quilt evolves layer upon layer.
Lady Liberty Goes to Hawaii - Loved making this New York Beauty style quilt. Karen's book of patterns is well written. It is a scrappy quilt. I made one change...an extra inner border.
John's Gone Fishing - I made this quilt for my cousin's son for his 12th birthday. I didn't have enough fabric to put on a border, but I did put piping with the binding.
FUNNY FARM HAPPY QUILT - THE TOP OF QUILT WITH MY OWN DRAWING, FARM SCENE AND THE QUILT JUST GREW. GOT IDEAS OF COWS FROM A COLORING BOOK, AND MADEUP BLOCK WITH OWN IDEAS.
My First Quilt - This was my first attempt at quilting after watching Donna Poster on Simply Quilts. It hangs proudly in my dining room....mistakes and all!
Scrappy Flag Quilt - I saw the Scrappy Flag Quilt pattern shown on Simply Quilts and made it for my sister-in-law whose home is totally red, white and blue.
Krissi's Table Runner - I made this table runner for my daughter using Judy Martin's pattern in her book "Knockout Blocks & Sampler Quilts". I loved the teal and cream fabrics.
Black & White All Over - This pattern was designed by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan. It was originally made in reds and whites, but my son wanted a "black" quilt. He also instructed the quilt be large enough to totally cover him while lying on the sofa, hence the size!!!
