Durham Quilt
Name of Maker: unknown
Durham Quilt - This quilt has lovely stitching and has an unusual tale - it was found in a drawer by a furniture dealer and used as a drop cloth, becoming an allover brown color! A local person saw it and bought it at the local market - luckily it washed out and became white again. My son put some wet ski gloves on it - another washing ensued but it really is a sturdy quilt. Design - running feathers with a central circular design.

Marlowe's Magic Music
Name of Maker: Diane
Marlowe's Magic Music - Marlowe is our retiring church choir director. He is living with ALS and hopefully this quilt will keep his legs nice and warm! The blocks have musical instrument fabric (Marlowe is a saxophonist) and the border is music staff fabric. The borders are both mitered (which I DO NOT like to do) and the binding is bias to take advantage of the design on the black fabric.
