Rings of gold - Double wedding quilt using fusible web applique adapted from the book 'Egg Money Quilts' by Eleanor Burns. The fabric for the rings was purchased as fat quarters at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. It was made to celebrate my parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Color Me Jane - My guild had a crayon challenge where you drew a crayon out of a paper bag. You coud use that color, black, white and one other color. I drew Midnight Blue and just added white. I was teaching Dear Jane quilting so I made 12 Jane blocks for my little challenge quilt.

Summer in St. Louis - I began my color studies at the top of the colorwheel using the red and orange families of colors. I love paper piecing and was attracted to the New York Beauty quilt in Fons and Porter Love of Quilting Magazine July/August 2004 issue. When I was finished the result was HOT and it was summer in St. Louis also HOT.
American Pride - 911 Remembered

American Pride - 911 Remembered - During the events following September 11, 2001 many of embroidery digitizers on the net offered free designs. I machine embroidered eagles on small squares of muslin as I sat glued to the TV. When the quilt was finished, it was an emotional release. I love this quilt and it hangs in my longarm studio.

Under the Tuscan Sun - My guild challenged us to make a quilt based on the title of a movie. I was working on New York Beauty blocks at the time. The NYB blocks made a perfect sun. A vinyard fabric made a great "Tuscany." The side borders represent a film strip. Great fun!

How to Make an American Quilt - My guild challenged us to make a quilt based on the title of a movie. Inspired by Ruth McDowell's book When Quilters Gather, I chose "How to Make an American Quilt." The quilters depicted represent my small quilting group who gather at my home each month for a Friday night Quiltathon.

April's Quilt - I made this quilt for my son's high school friend, April, for her birthday and her move to the University of Toronto. As she is a keen dancer I included ballerinas in the quilting.

"Feng Shui" - Lines and circles represent the movement of "Chi" (Lifeforce) through space. Made from fabrics collected from Japan, Holland, hand-dyes, plus batiks.

Sylvie's Challenge - A challenge made by our teacher, Sylvie, to design a quilt using colour values to change one basic block. The original quilt was totally green and was named 'Epinard"(Spinach) but I named mine 'Sylvie's Challenge' as all the tiny triangles were such a challenge. Another friend though of naming her's 'Nightmare'!
