Heidi's Hydrangeas - My first attempt at an original design and one of my first applique quilts. I entered it in the Rose Hill Quilt Show in Frederick, Maryland and it took a ribbon in the small wallhanging mixed technique category. I gave it to my daughter on her September 11 birthday in 2002, one year after the terrible day that changed our lives forever.

"Springtime in Japan" 2 ribbon winner & AQS juried - I am proud to say that this quilt was juried into the AQS show Nashville 2005. It got a 1st place ribbon at another show as well as an honorable mention at another. So happy ! What started out as a "1 block" piece for the wall, escalated into a whole quilt. It was quilted in gold metallic Sulky Holoshimmer thread.
