Noah's Stars - I designed this with EQ a year ago or so; however I have since seen a pattern for sale that is similar in block construction with only one side cut off for the star effect. Made for a high school graduate.
For Mary Pierce - Years ago I made several paper pieced kimono blocks. Recently, when a friend who loves all things Asian moved away, I took two of the paper pieced kimono blocks and made them into a small quilt for her.
Mom's Hummer - I purchased the stained glass quilt pattern before 1999 and I no longer have the information on it. I have searched the internet but haven't located the pattern. I will update this information if I find out more. (maybe an older Bear Paw Production's pattern?)
Rocky & Friends - The raccoon that climbs up on my daughter's deck has been christened "Rocky." Other animals that frequent her yard in the mountains of North Idaho are bear, deer, and birds.
Lyrical Spheres - I made this quilt using a gadget called the Spin Ruler from Connie "Bee" Quilts. There was an article about the ruler in American Quilter magazine, Spring 1997.
Bali's for Baird - Quilt center was presented as my president's quilt by Burke QU in Burke, VA. I added the borders. The label is signed by all hose in the guild.
Hawaiian Plants in Redwork - My husband bought a bolt of batik fabric at a garage sale for $5.00. I had done the redwork blocks a couple of years earlier and then realized how perfect the fabric was.
Stepping Stones in Hawaii - My very good friend lived in Hawaii most of her life and when I met her 27 years ago in Kona I found she was born in the very same hospital as I was in Chicago.
Bill's Bees & Tulips - I used applique designs from Life in the Country With Country Threads to depict my husband's favorite childhood memory of watching bees buzz in and out of tulips.
Plaid Cats in my Botanical Garden - !2 block of the month, colored and embroidiered. Sashed in greens, teals, purples and blues, with plaid paw prints in the borders.
My Blooming Nine Patch - I pieced and quilted this for my friend Sandilee Snyder. Pieced on my treadle, quilted on my longarm. The dark around the outer edge is a deep burgundy which doesn't show up well in the picture.
