Koehn family quilt
Name of Maker: Jo, Joni & Jan Koehn
Koehn family quilt - This quilt was created after a family reunion several years ago. Each family member created their own design on muslin hearts and then my sisters and I designed the watercolor heart layout.
New Leaf Wallhanging
Name of Maker: Beverley Hilton
New Leaf Wallhanging - This piece, created to fit into a decorative alcove in my son's home, took second place in the guild challenge. Based on the Maple Leaf pattern, it was inspired by a quilt, New Leaf, published in Quilters Newsletter Magazine.
Wild Geese
Name of Maker: Tina Curran
Wild Geese - I challenged myself to use only striped and polka dotted fabrics in this quilt. I was trying to achieve a basket-weave effect with the piecing. This quilt is evidence that I believe in the "more is more" theory when it comes to color and pattern in a quilt.
Hannah's mystery
Name of Maker: Jan Koehn
Hannah's mystery - This quilt for my daughter was made in mystery quilt class taught by Debbie Caffrey at the Quilt Durango event in 2004.
Black and White

Black and White - Very stunning with the contrast between black embroidery and the white background
Happy Little Accident
Name of Maker: Jan Koehn
Happy Little Accident - Created in a class taught by Laura Wasilowski in Tucson, AZ, 2005. It started out as a geometric abstract but somehow it morphed into a flower arrangement!

Metallic Landscape
Name of Maker: Jan Koehn
Metallic Landscape - Created in a class taught by Marjan Kluepfel at the Denver Quiltfest in 2006. The metallic fabrics became addictive and are from Jeanettes Fabric to Dye for.
Autumn Lone Star
Name of Maker: Jan Koehn
Autumn Lone Star - I think I was longing for a Colorado autumn when I chose these fabrics. The changing of seasons is one thing I really miss by living in Arizona.
Harvest Time
Name of Maker: Jean Anderson
Harvest Time - Working from the center out it is almost like strip piecing. Very simple and due to fabric very warm
Hailey's Quilt
Name of Maker: wldrnsqltr
Hailey's Quilt - Appliqued blocks embellished with hand embroidery set on red and white Hawaiian print fabric, backed with white fleece.
Bargello Computer Bag
Name of Maker: Ellen Lindow
Bargello Computer Bag - Computer bags are too dull for me. So I designed my own. Bright cottons in bargello on denim, then lined with more sturdy denim. The shoulder strap is double sewn into the lining all the way around the bag for added strength. Plastic canvas inside makes a snug spot for the laptop. There are pockets inside for power cords and other cables. There's still room for wallet, camera, a book, knitting and anything else I need to take with me. The long flap keeps everything inside without needing a clasp.
My Favorite Hat
Name of Maker: Pat Lafky
My Favorite Hat - This was made for my co-worker and friend who loves giraffes and also wears a lot of hats.
Orental Flavor
Name of Maker: Jean Anderson
Orental Flavor - My second quilt made. Used embroidery accents
Jill's Dogs
Name of Maker: Pat Lafky
Jill's Dogs - These are my daughter-in-law Jill's dogs, who are her "children".
Red and Black
Name of Maker: Pat Lafky
Red and Black - I made dozens of 4" blocks at "Strips that Sizzle" class taught by Margaret Miller in 2002. I didn't put any blocks together until asked to donate a quilt to an auction to support a missionary trip. I donated this through my group, "Quilters with a Mission".
Oriental Grace
Name of Maker: Pat Lafky
Oriental Grace - I took a class at a local quilt shop and used the most gorgeous Oriental fabrics I could find. My sister-in-law liked it so much, she asked me to leave ot to her in my Will. I didn't want her hiring a hit man, so I made her one almost exactly like it.
