Tyler's Texas Chain
Name of Maker: Catherine Waltz
Tyler's Texas Chain - This was the first quilt I made to give away. I wanted to make a quilt to honor those made by my grandmother. I chose 1930s fabrics and white muslin to piece the top. Tyler loves her quilt. You can see her snuggled with it on the trip to Florida in 2003 when I gave the quilt to her at www.judymartin.com...look for Texas Chain by Cathy Waltz under viewer pictures.
Jill's Stars
Name of Maker: Catherine Waltz
Jill's Stars - The second quilt I made to give away. Neice Jill visited and learned to make one block with me. While looking through a book of antique quilts, Jill marked quilts that she liked. I learned that she liked stars, the color blue and richness of colors.

Star Bright
Name of Maker: Janie Keith
Star Bright - This is the first quilt I made. I took a beginner's quilting class and they set blocks in front of us and told us to put 2 or 3 blocks together to make a quilt. Thus the class taught us not only the basics in quilting, but also one way to design a quilt.
Blue Stars
Name of Maker: Judy Breese
Blue Stars - I made the stars in a Lifetime Learning Class. They sat for a while until I took a class called "Plaid Salad" at the guild. We made filler blocks to set with Orphan Blocks. This quilt is waiting to be a wedding present for a great niece someday.
