Gettysburg Soilder - Made based on a photo I took in Gettysburg, PA in 2002

9th of Av - This illustrates the 9th AV a Jewish holiday commemorating the destruction of both temples in Jerusalem. It includes machine embroidery and photo transfer on silk organza. The photo of the soldiers was not a "stock" photo, but one taken by Solli Amihodm a quilter's husband.

Donna Nobis Pacem - This was created for the America from the Heart Exhibit and expresses my desire for peace.

Welcome Mary - This quilt was made for Mary who was adopted into the Miller Family in Jan 07. Mary was born in Guatemala.

The Three Mitzvot of Jewish Women - This is my 2007 journal quilt which illustrates the three mitzvot (commandments) specifically given to women-----taking challah, lighting candles and family purity.

Birds for Mom - My mom loves to feed her birds outside and when I found the bird fabric (star centers) one day, I knew I had to make her a quilt. It was her birthday present this year.

Elaine's French Roses - Fabrics used was from "moda", "Wuthering Heights Collection" created by "3 Sisters" I made this quilt for my sister Elaine's Birthday. I fell in love with the style.

Happy Girls - This is the quilt my 3 girls fight over to snuggle on the couch with. Luckily they're still small enough that they can all fit under it! (After a little referee-ing by mom!)

Flag Quilt for Nephew & family - This quilt was from a quilt class that was converted from a miniature quilt in a book by White Birches. I made it for my nephew and family when he was due to be deployed to Iraq. It is quilted with free motion loops and stars throughout. The instructor did a wonderful job with enlarging the pattern and keeping the wonderful look of the waving flag. It is a large twin size quilt or very large wall hanging. I used approximately 50 different fabrics each color to maintain the scrappy appearance and a softly stripped border fabric for the border and binding.

Ben's Big Bed Quilt - I used the "Mover and Shakers" fabric panel for the big trucks. I used fusiable applique technique for the truck blocks. The rest I made up as I went along!

Poppies of England - I used the pattern for the center & corners and designed the middle circle of poppies. The poppies and batting are silk which gives it a different look from cotton batting. I quilted it with silk thread on my bernina using the BSR.

Emma's Baby Quilt - My son helped me collect various fabrics based on Amy Butler Ginger Bliss line along with various other fun fabrics from all over the country. I was leary of the combination, however, it worked out great. The backing is a sage green minkie which makes the quilt especially snuggly. The "baby" quilt is a twin size which should last for many years. I altered the pattern to make the entire quilt pieced instead of appliquéd center blocks. This required me to redraft the entire quilt on graph paper. While the quilt pattern is the same look as "Ginger Bliss" the entire quilt had to be altered by myself. As usual the project started as a simple baby quilt for a shower gift and grew from there.

Wedding Quilt - This quilt was made for a friend as a wedding gift. She liked the look of the new york beauty blocks so I just made a border of them to surround the batik blocks. I asked them if they would like a quilt and they were both very excited to get it.

The Power of a Woman - This was based on a photo my daughter. It clearly shows her unique "attitude"

Japanese Garden - This was adapted from a photo I took in Kyoto. I like the idea of pieced and applique together. I used my stash of Asian fabric and did whatever looked good.

Olympic Dream - As the 2010 Olympics are approaching, this was a challenge to make a quilt that would be auctioned to raise money for our athletes. The theme was Olympic Dream. I made the quilt to look like a picture in a frame and then had an engraver make a plaque with Olympic Dream written on it.

Jacobs Diamonds - Michele, the designer is a friend of mine and I often test her new patterns. This is the result of one of those test.
