Log cabin in progress - I am making this quilt for my fiancee. The top is together but still needs a border. I`m planning on taking longarm quilting lessons and finish the quilt that way.
Southwest Memories - This quilt was a Block of the Month club we joined while in vacation in Tucson, AZ in the late 1990's. We made a second quilt for a friend at the same time as this one.
Roses for Judy - I designed the corner blocks and the border, and decided to use black as my background to make the colors pop. This quilt is a gift for a friend with cancer who loves to garden and can't get out to her yard just now.
This quilt is currently on Kansas at the MQS Show in Overland Park June 6-9th.
Ribbon for Life - A group of ladies found out that I made quilts and asked If I would make one for thier group Angels All Around Us. A Breast Cancer awareness group. This is the design I came up with and am having it copyrighted.. This Ribbon fits all types of groups. BC, MADD, etc....
Memories of the Temple of Doom - Every year we have a Mystery Quilt Retreat, this was 2001. yes I know it took a while to finish. At the time my son loved the Indiana Jones movies hence the mask fabric and his favourite colour is green.
High Gear - I am currently quilting on this top. The compasses were drafted after taking a class with Gail Garber. I used Cheryl Phillips book Cut A Round Quilts as inpiration for the setting. I used Susan Cleveland's Piping Hot Binding Tool to put tiny piping around the compass blocks.
Watery Path - This quilt was made for guild challenge. The challenge fabrics were black and white. The whale is appliqued on to the drunkards path background. You can't tell in the picture but he has a glass eye and eyelid to protect the glass.
Hearts - This quilt was made for my daughter. She liked the scrappy patches but wanted a black quilt. I appliqued hearts on the center blocks and surrounded them with scrappy blocks. The backing is also black. Everytime I had to change the bobbin thread I changed colour too. The black back with all different colours turned out very cool.
