This quilt is a gift for a friend with cancer who loves to garden and can't get out to her yard just now. This quilt is currently on Kansas at the MQS Show in Overland Park June 6-9th.

High Gear - I am currently quilting on this top. The compasses were drafted after taking a class with Gail Garber. I used Cheryl Phillips book Cut A Round Quilts as inpiration for the setting. I used Susan Cleveland's Piping Hot Binding Tool to put tiny piping around the compass blocks.

Watery Path - This quilt was made for guild challenge. The challenge fabrics were black and white. The whale is appliqued on to the drunkards path background. You can't tell in the picture but he has a glass eye and eyelid to protect the glass.
Hearts

Hearts - This quilt was made for my daughter. She liked the scrappy patches but wanted a black quilt. I appliqued hearts on the center blocks and surrounded them with scrappy blocks. The backing is also black. Everytime I had to change the bobbin thread I changed colour too. The black back with all different colours turned out very cool.
