The Evil Thing - Our quilt guild the Needle Navigators had a challenge to interpret a movie title or theme. I chose "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and depicted the Coke bottle that landed in the village and caused all sorts of mayhem. The bottle is appliqued with Sulky Holoshimmer thread and the grasses are couched fancy yarns. The quilting depicts natural landforms. This was one of those quilts that put itself together!

Kuwait Quilt - This is my black and tan quilt. Found a animal print Batik and picked all the other colors to go with it keeping shades of brown and black with a touch of yellow to spice it up. I had the fabric all cut ready to piece so that I could begin it in the Atlanta Airport on my way to Kuwait 2 month deployment. I finished the top while there.
