Just Off The Coast - Watched the Classroom lessons for Portrait Quilts by Lea McComas and loved it! I knew I had to challenge myself to make this quilt...I purchased the perfect fabric that came in a set of fat quarters with 8 different values sold by the Pincushion Boutique called Just Off The Coast...My first person to do a portrait quilt is my beautiful great nephew. I borrowed the name Just Off the Coast ,because he lives on the Coast..First time ever I finished a quilt in a week,including the label.. I have two more in my mind that I want to do...Just like a quilter, alway a million projects we want to do,but never the time.:)

Star Struck - Contains 12,256 hexagons (1/2") and took 3.5 years to make. The book/pattern for it and it's smaller cousin, Starlette will be out by September, 2014

Believe In Yourself...All Things Are Possible - This is a T-Shirt quilt made for my nephew's High School Graduation out of my Dad's/his Grandfather's collection of Wolf T-Shirts. My Dad's name was Wolf and he was very close to my nephew. I incorporated numbers that represented dates or team numbers as well as names of his schools and his initials in applique or embroidery.

Lily - 16" x 20" Three dimensional design of a lily done in yellow to orange ombre fabric. Background is a Ricky Timms colorful print fabric.

3-D Rose - 16" x 20" Three dimensional rose on a quilted background and mounted on an artist canvas.

Hole in the wall - Quilt with a modern twist, my first ever freehand quilting with longarm.

Denim and Daisies - A western style romantic quilt that is the perfect picnic quilt. It is 68" square, and shows a couple romancing. There is a pattern available for this quilt at my website. www.morelcabincreations.com

Gillihan - Layout is based on an original design by Ann Gillihan, center block is from Poakalani and middle border is an enlargement, outside border is original.

Highlight - A modern pattern that I made using traditional fabric with my first attempt at quilting feathers, probably my last! Made in my sister's favourite colours for her bed.

Tashi - I made this quilted portrait of my Jack Russell pup. Even in purple, it looks exactly like her.
