Sew Many Seeds - This is a traditional quilt with commercial fabrics (mostly batiks). It was quilted on a home sewing machine. It was made as a retirement gift for a colleague who has spent his life working with seeds.

Andre's Quilt - This is a quit for my friend's new grandson, Andre. Sandra wanted fabrics that represented the 4 ethnic backgrounds in the family: Russian, Italian, South African and United States.

Wedding Dress Quilt Shelly - Wedding Dress Quilt made from Shelly's wedding dress. This dress was worn by Shelly and her mother, and the quilt is a gift for her daughter who is getting married. Bride and groom's names and date were stitched on front, mother and grandmother's pictures, names and dates were put on back.

Oak Woodland - This quilt is 14" square; it was designed for and subsequently juried in to an art auction to benefit the Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael, CA.

Prehistory - Quilt was planned with a charcoal drawing, then roughly recreated using freezer paper stencils and Shiva Paintsticks.

Half Dome - Based on a charcoal drawing I made in Yosemite Valley many years ago.

Through the Mountains - This quilt was made to be donated to a Wounded Warrior. The name comes from the journey back to health that many of our veterans must make because of their service to our country.

"Rim Fire" Yosemite - I was moved by pictures of towering flames burning my favorite park. I submitted a picture to an on-line show at www.parks.ca.gov. The flames and sky fabrics are hand painted, trees appliqued, free-motion stitched. I donated it to raise funds for our fire dept.
