Dean - My favorite cat shelter asked me to donate a piece for their annual fundraising gala -- I adapted a photo of one of their many adorable felines.
Pickled Geese - I didn't realise until after I had already completed much of the paper piecing that this is a pattern for an advanced quilter (which I am not).
Lots of biased edges - ugh!
Orange Poppy Quilt - This quilt was based on a photo that I had taken of an orange poppy growing in my backyard. i wisely decided to eliminate the chain link fence behind it.
Snuggle Up - The center is a panel by Leanne Anderson of The Whole Country Caboodle (www.thewholecountrycaboodle.com). I used Minkie fabric on the back. My granddaughter's name is appliqued at the top.
Sweet Dreams - This is the boy part of the "God Gave Me You" panel by Leanne Anderson of The Whole Country caboodle (www.thewholecountrycaboodle). I did some quilting using decorative stitches on my sewing machine. I also did some free-motion quilting for the first time. (I'm learning.)
You Can Visit But You Can't Share My Hammock - We are having a Quilt Contest called Florida In Fabric ...wish you were here...at the Ruth Funk Fiber Art Museum located at Florida Institute of Technology where I work. This quilt is my submission to the contest. So excited. Im a forests girl and this place is where i went everyday to unwind and think. I love spanish moss and ferns.

Stars for a new Day - My first UFO finished in 2014, it was fully pieced in 2009, sat for a couple of years and had had it custom quilted, sat for another couple of years, finally got the binding done, whew, what was I thinking waiting this long!!!!
Spirit of the Northwoods - Have had the fabric and book for a decade, finally got around to make it. Will be a graduation gift for Grandson, who loves the outdoors/wilderness.
Winter Flowers - Used the book for inspiration, adapted a lot when sewing as I did not plan, just picked up materials and followed blocks as far as possible. First time I tried quilt as you go. Ran out of background fabric to make a decent border. Enjoyed using Sharon Pederson's book and keeping busy over the Winter
Keeping My Eye On You - This quilt was constructed for a class I took with Katie PM, where we were to take a photograph, and make a black and white quilt out if it with 7 grey values. This quilt is heavily thread painted after the raw edge appliqué was completed.
