Annabeth's Quilt
Name of Maker: Judy Wright
Annabeth's Quilt - I made this for my granddaughter, Annabeth. This is the 5th red and white quilt that I have made for a grandchild. My daughter has always loved red and white quilts and when it came time for baby quilts, she wanted red and white.
Tree of Life
Name of Maker: Ida Houston
Tree of Life - Tree of Life was created using HSTs from the SOTTTs exchange. It all started with Edyta Sitar's first show on TQS. 160 quilters from around the world participated in this exchange. The quilt's roots are from the exchange, where a quilt (tree) grew. I quilted little fairies and magical creatures into the quilt to show how we all participated in the growth of this tree quilt. There are about 700 HSTs on it.
Batman
Name of Maker: Pam Thompson
Batman - I purchased this pattern off craftsy.com. The original pattern only had one border so I decided to add the outside border with the bat signal on it. This quilt was made for my son Ryan for his birthday.
Spring Lone Star
Name of Maker: Pam Thompson
Spring Lone Star - I made this quilt after Ricky Tims demonstrated it on one of the shows, so thank you Ricky. I love bright pretty colors on black.
The Hues of Amber
Name of Maker: Karlyn Bue Lohrenz
The Hues of Amber - I love amber, exploring the variations from the deep burgundy/brown to the butterscotch. I chose Fallert's gradation fabrics to showcase the shades I envisioned. As I was working on my design it seemed to spin on the wall.
Montana Tigers
Name of Maker: Karlyn Bue Lohrenz
Montana Tigers - From photos of my flowerbeds, I used three of Fallert's gradations, trapunto, feeling free motion quilting. A quilt is complete once it is shared.
The Monumental Way
Name of Maker: Karlyn Bue Lohrenz
The Monumental Way - I don't know how one could take a class or read a book of Katie Pasquini Masopust and not say "I have to try it"! Escaping from a very long, snow filled, cold winter I went to the Studio to create the warmth of the desert. Fallert's gradations gave life to my vision.
Some Bunny Loves You
Name of Maker: Dorothy Baker
Some Bunny Loves You - A few years ago my daughter had a little dwarf bunny named Licorice who was a sweet little thing and when she passed I wanted to make a quilt in memory of her.
Sunshine
Name of Maker: Faith McLeod
Sunshine - This is a portrait of my daughter from a recent trip to Mexico. It took me a long time to complete. She is a beautiful girl and I was afraid I couldn't do her beauty justice!
