Alaskan Adventure - My son went to live in Alaska last summer, and fell in love with it. He and wife adored the bears and Fireweed flowers, so I combined the two into a wall hanging as a gift for their tenth anniversary.

Alaskan Fireweed - I made this quilt for my daughter in law for Christmas to honor her love of this beautiful wild plant. It is appliqué.

Hearts All Around - Made for Valentine's Day, this quilt is 100% pieced, including the hearts.

Springtime All Around - My first attempt at drafting a round quilt. It was very challenging, but fun to do.

Midnight Pinwheels - I used black to make the pinwheel colors pop. This was made for my grandson for Christmas.

Rose of Sharon - Machine embroidered applique and free motion quilting. The free motion quilting is reversible too.

Sunflower Labyrinth - This quilt was made for my sister, who has created a 7 circuit labyrinth at her home in Ohio. She grows sunflowers in the labyrinth, and calls it the Sunflower Labyrinth.

Amish Sampler - A block of the month from Gathering Fabrics in Woodinville, WA. Free motion quilting with varigated thread.

Fashion Finesse - Enjoyed making this quilt for my daughter. She is a fashion "Diva". It is totally made from Kona cotton and 80/20 batting. The back is a swirly design that worked well with the shoes and purses. The inspiration for the shoe and purse designs were from Coach, Christian Louboutin, and Manolo Blahnik. This one was a lot of fun!

Baby's Owls - My first attempt at applique. It will look great in my soon-to-be-born grandson's room.

A Prayer For Libby Lehman - I have been following Libby Lehman's progress as she recovers and I thought I would try her ribbons technique...I believe that's what she calls it. As I was trying to master this design all I could think about was maybe someday meeting Libby and showing her what she taught me through watching her on the Quilt Show. With each stitch I did I prayed that Libby returns to us soon.

Santa Fe - 2nd challenge in the McCall's Design Star 2011 contest. Foundation pieced, machine quilted with 100 wt. silk thread.

Summer Sorbet - McCall's Design Star 2011 Contest Challenge 1. Quilt top had to use any variation of traditional blocks Shoo-Fly and Arrowheads.

Brush off - This is a thread painting I made of a 4' Square canvas I painted with acrylic stains in college.
