Modified Celtic Cross - Celtic Cross design published in Celtic Pieced Illusions by Karen Combs. I altered the pattern to make it a true cross (w/ one longer arm).
brother's choice - second quilt, based on a quilt published here and chosen by my brother. Was fun to do. Thanks to the person who did the one that inspired mine! This person is "Desertquilter" and the inspirationnal quilt is "connectivity".
Old Mother Hubbard on a Better Day - My first attempt at using a printed panel within a quilt. It is harder to do than I expected but I am happy with the results.
Irish Chain - This was made as a gift for my daughter who loves her Irish heritage. I designed my own borders using a celtic symbol. Size is approximate because my borders were a little different from the book and I did it by what suited me visually....didn't measure after it was all done!
Smart Circles - This is my first original quilt design featuring machine appliqued circles placed in a cascading color effect, a narrow inner border and a wide outer border. The bias stems create ribbons flowing around the border and into clusters of circles at each corner. This has been a fun quilt to make with more to come after it is quilted. Any suggestions?
Mission Saints of California - This quilt has twelve of the Mission Saints of California, there are 21 in total. This project was created for a Block of the Month program.
Outta the Loop - Pattern is "Elements of Nature" by Jacqueline de Jonge. Enlarging, changing, and adding to the pattern resulted in an awesome quilt with a lot of open space for beautiful quilting.
Arpeggio - Arpeggio was designed in EQ7. I was putting gas in my car one day and was looking down and noticed the interesting design on the tires. Light bulb moment. I had to make a quilt with this design. I played in EQ7 and came up with this quilt. It was entered in Ricky's 5 Hand Dye Challenge. It did not win but I love it, it made me really step out of my box and try something new and different.
Canadian Rockies Landscape Quilt - This quilt uses 2 1/2" Strips of Cantik Batiks, Rockies Collection with Sashing and Borders from the Lakeshore Collection.
