Exhausted
Name of Maker: Paula Tuano
Exhausted - My daughter took a picture of my two grandsons, Lyle, 6 on the left and Jake, 3 or the right. Everyone was exhausted after a day at the beach and the two boys fell asleep in the back seat of the car. It's very obvious who is the "sun bunny"
Seedscape
Name of Maker: Annette Miller
Seedscape - This abstract quilt was inspired by "seedy" fabrics. The background is pieced with hand dyed seed bags. Numbers from the seed lots on the bags are still visible. Circles and wavy cut strips are commercial fabrics added by raw edge, machine applique. There are no straight seams on the front.
Into the Big Bang
Name of Maker: ellenceleste
Into the Big Bang - Five years in the making, I took a class in Tampa to get this started. As soon as I saw the pattern I knew I wanted a space theme. Then I added a spaceship from my favorite SF show, Space:1999, cross-stitched on black with a few cross-stitched planets. The overall quilting pattern of stars completes the space motif.
SW Stars for a New Day
Name of Maker: Ellen Lindow
SW Stars for a New Day - My first Block of the Month quilt was designed to hang in my cabin near La Veta, Colorado, and it does every summer. But I can't bear to leave it there by itself, so it comes home to Florida with me. The prints are all southwest, with turquoise fetishes, chili peppers and pottery prominent. It was so much fun to work on this each month as the new directions were posted.

Pink Ribbon Ribbon

Pink Ribbon Ribbon - I made this quilt for my grandson to give to his Nana. He saw me making a pink ribbon block and asked if I could make him one block for his Nana because she had cancer and the treatment made her eyes water and he wanted it for her to dab her eyes with. He said everyone had gotten her something for her cancer except him. So two months later, I had a whole quilt for him to give to her.

100% Coach
Name of Maker: Candys Home Patch
100% Coach - Two quilts made as thankyou for Coach and his assistant Jenny. Presented at the U14 all you can eat dinner! Quilts feature what coach would say - give 100%. Each soccer ball' was signed by the player using the corresponding jersey number. At the bottom there were notes from supporters, our egg & bacon breakfast and our hand 'clackers'. The backing (and binding) fabric was a green grass print. Blue and white the team colours. So much fun to make.
