Christmas Bling - Lovely Christmas wall hanging - I'd added the small pearl seed beads attached with each blanket stitch on his pompom then after watching Tom Russell's segment got braver and added the rest!

Nelson - Nelson was inspired by the recent news of Nelson Mandela's fading health. What a life story; so much of his life behind bars, and then the end of apartheid, and President of his own country. Remarkable story; a hero and inspiration by any account.

God Speaks - This quilt is one in the series The Housetop Quilts. Originally inspired by the Quilters of Gees Bend, I am incorporating God's word into simple abstract designs.

John 1 - Another of the 'Housetop Quilts.' The beautiful poetic words about Jesus found in John 1 are machine quilted on this quilt.

Isaiah 58 - Another in the Housetop Quilts series. This one is an homage to the iconic Gees Bend quilt created by Annie Mae Young. It was done for a special event honoring "The Least of These" and has all of Isaiah 58:1-16 machine quilted on it.

Frozen Morning - Impression of a fabulously beautiful December morning experienced while driving through western Nebraska and eastern Colorado.

"Girl With Truck; Pure Bliss" - Based on a vintage photo of a friend; I had to capture the pure joy.

The Friendship - "The Friendship" underscores the rare friendships between culturally divergent individuals.

Turkey - I bought this turkey fabric in Paducah last spring with the intention of making a Thanksgiving table topper and guess what??? I actually got it made in time for Thanksgiving. I chose two shades of solid brown to add to the palette. I made New York Beauty blocks and arranged them so the topper had curved edges. I added some prairie points to inside curves to add a pop of color. The center of the topper is uncut so you can see the turkeys.
