Mariner's Sunset
Name of Maker: elsiequilts
Mariner's Sunset - I wanted to do something different with this round compass so when a friend suggested it looked like a setting sun, I ran with it. Trouble was, the "sun" is 35" across so the quilt is 6 x 8 feet. It needs bigger walls so if you own a hotel... it is for sale!
ISLAND GIRL
Name of Maker: JOAN BROWN
ISLAND GIRL - THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PIECES. IT WAS PUBLISHED IN THE ASIAN FABRIC MAGAZINE #25 IN THE SECTION "WHAT I DID WITH MY KONA BAY FABRIC". SHE HANGS WITH GREAT PRIDE IN MY MASTER BATH. THE MAGAZINE ASIAN FABRIC IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PUBLICATIONS ALWAYS HAS CREATIVE PATTERNS.

Mish Mash for Bill
Name of Maker: amybee
Mish Mash for Bill - a color study in reds and turquoise scraps from stash. First inner border was green. Yuck! so, I replaced it with the black and white and it looks, well, better.
wild trout
Name of Maker: amybee
wild trout - The trout in the remote, wild streams of Colorado are even more bright and colorful than the ones found in more accessible streams. It seemed "natural" to make this pattern from bold batiks! A gift to brother and sister-in-law who are great fly fishing buddies!
Random Flowers
Name of Maker: Vicki Crooms
Random Flowers - I love this pattern! it was kind of weird, because the middle petal of each flower is pieced in, and the two outside petals are applique. I love the red and beige combination.
My Swoon quilt
Name of Maker: tia curtis
My Swoon quilt - I made my swoon quilt with Lotta Jonsdotter's Echo fabric that I bought at Quilt Market. I also added some of my very own Map fabric that I made with Spoon flower and my own hand dyes. Each map is a place we have lived.
Strip quilt
Name of Maker: tia curtis
Strip quilt - Strip quilt using roll of hand dyes.
Venice Rose
Name of Maker: Deb Bowers
Venice Rose - I pieced this quilt while traveling the country in our RV and quilted it on my HandiQuilter. Norah McMeeking's book and paper piecing pattern was wonderful. It now hangs in my home and is one of the first things people see as they walk through the door.
Tropical Island
Name of Maker: Winifred Potenza
Tropical Island - This is a continuation of working with faces and masks using fabric, paint, and other embellishments.

Zigzag baby quilt
Name of Maker: Ariane Kring
Zigzag baby quilt - The pattern used is a traditional zigzag pattern using hst's. I made this using fabric from my stash. All the pieces were cut using my GO! Cutter and the 3 inch finished hst die. It is backed with a flannel by Northcott called Forest Friends. I hand quilted it with pearl cotton thread. It measures 36" square. It was gifted to my brother Pierre and his wife Christa for the birth of their first born, named Titan.
