Heavenly Brightness - I made this quilt for my daughter (in picture with me). A lot of blood and sweat went into this quilt and I loved every second of it. Boy did I learn a lot. Ignorance is bliss because I started this project without any concept of how challenging it would be. I sewed and quilted this quilt on my Bernina 830.
Flit A Way - I made this lap blanket for a dear friend who is now deceased. The quilt is again in my possession. I sewed, machine embroidered and quilted this on my Bernina 730.
Shop Hop Quilt - Shop Hop Quilt expanded to 16 blocks. Four extra blocks were purchased, and the color strips randomed to make for new blocks for the quilt.
On Raven's Wing - On Raven's Wing was a challenge to use feathers in a quilt by my art quilt circle. I combined a photo of feathers creating the background with free motion of a raven in the foreground. The piece was quilted by machine and free motion by machine. Paint and rayon thread were used as highlights in the composition.
THE LEARNING CURVE - I MADE THIS FROM SCRAPS LEFT OVER FROM OLD (35 YEARS?) PROJECTS, CLOTHING AND BED LINENS.

Alma Mater - I graduated and now work at Western Michigan University. I wanted to create something to hang behind my desk to brighten up my workspace. This is an original design in a modified watercolor method.
Quilt for Ayla Rose - This quilt was made for my cousin Ayla Rose. Her parents went thru many years of infertility & finally The Lord blessed them with this adorable bundle of joy! Made by myself as Ayla Rose's mother was my flower girl in our wedding 25 years ago. Made with much love for them all!!!
Peanuts - This quilt was commissioned as a birthday gift for McKenna Heidt, age 10. She is a big fan of Peanuts. I made the quilt cartoon blocks using printed pillow panels.
Rangoli, India’s Connect the Dots Folk Art - Designs are made with powder/ colored rice/ flower petals on the floor, and around food plates during special occasions. This design is typical for Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
Over the seas and far away - My son in law, Robert, is a deep sea diver and I wanted to make a quilt that would bring the sea home with him. I tried a few things and settled for sewing strips together to simulate waves and found a fantastic water fabric to use as sashing to bring it all together. He loves his quilt.
