Name of Maker: Brenda Houlihan
Jans Star - This quilt is being made in memory of my dear Sister Jan who passed July 2011, it is in the process of being quilted, it is beautiful as she was, complicated striking and full of life and colour, the flying geese depict to me that she has never gone away, just out of sight. It was very hard to start this with the heaviest of heart, but I knew it would help me to get over the extreme grief of losing someone so dear to me. As soon as it completed I will add the quilted and finshed version.
Margaret's Quilt
Name of Maker: Margaret Hatty
Margaret's Quilt - A whole cloth king sized bed quilt, commissioned by Flo Simmonds to give to her Grandson as a wedding present. Margaret Hatty designed the pattern using Sandy Lush and Barbara Chainey's deisgns as inspiration. Margaret had just started the quilting when she was taken ill and died, before finishing it. I took the quilt and finished it for Flo, so that when her grandson and his bride came home from their tour of duty in Afghanistan in January, she could give it to them. I have had the quilt since the begining of July and have quilted on it for about 3 hours a day, till it was finished at the begining of December. I have now passed the quilt over to Flo Simmonds. This is the best photo I have of the quilt.........:(

Ruffled Waves
Name of Maker: Marilyn Zeider McWilliams
Ruffled Waves - Ruffled Waves started as a group project at Quilt Country in Lewisville, TX. Ladies at sit an sew all made 4 blocks, cut each block into square quarters and then exchanged them. I took mine and added more to sew them into a Drunkard's Path setting. I knew that I was making the quilt for my 14 year old great-granddaughter, Chantel, because she loves colors so much. This quilt was so much fun to play with the blocks and finally complete the quilt for our lovely Chantel.
