Mondo Bag - Just discovered this pattern at my LQS and loved it. I made it from my batik scraps. I think I could put a small child in this bag. I will be using it to carrying my projects to classes, groups, etc. Or maybe even a weekend away. Fun bag to make.

Tree and Leaf - Started out 5 yrs ago as a Tree of Life quilt, but after 7 blocks with 106 seams per block I realized I might not have 11 more blocks (what the pattern called for) in me. I put them away for awhile, but kept bringing them back out and playing with settings. It evolved into what you see here. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and really happy to check it off of my UFO list!

Under the Jellicle Moon - I made this quilt during the past year, which I now call 'the year of applique'. I did 3 applique BOMs during the past year, including this one. I was relatively new to applique when I started and I've learned so very much over the course of the year. It was a journey of pain and joy. I'm so glad I made it now... Love kitties and I love this quilt - I'm keeping this one for myself! (The kitties have eyes now, although they didn't when this picture was taken).

the quilter's husband's quilt - I have been quilting for years and never gave my husband a quilt... He recieved a lap quilt from the church when he had some surgery and said that he was like the shoemakers wife.... only he was the quiltmakers husband. This quilt was in the works and I had been planning to give it to him so finally I finished it and did!!!

Sadie - Sadie is my faithful friend adopted from an animal shelter several years ago. Photo altered in photoshop elements to sketch form, then printed on tone on tone fabric. Painted with watercolor crayons on fabric, embellished with thread sketching then quilted.

Breakfast With a Friend - Quilt based on an old photo of myself as a child sharing a donut with our family dog, Penny. Machine applique with thread play over the fur and hair, face is painted with watercolor crayons.
