Challenge #2: Brown Bag - Each member of our art group put fabric, buttons, thread, etc. in a brown paper bag and sealed it. We exchanged bags without knowing whose bag we had. We could add other materials from our stash but could not buy anything for the project. Tthe project became a Christmas gift for the person filling the bag.

Jungle Jive V - This quilt was created from Zebra striped polyester factory remnants which were donated to me from a friend. It is a part of an ongoing series of tops and quilts which I am creating.

Jungle Jive VI - This is #6 in my series of Jungle Jive quilts and quilt tops composed from donated polyester factory remnants.

Jungle Jive XI - Quilt #11 in the Jungle Jive Series of quilts and tops by Sherry A. Byrd.

Stack'n Whack - This was my first (and only) attempt at stack'n whack. I enjoyed the process and like the results.

Wild Flowers - This is a combination of embroidery and applique.

Gerry's Train Quilt - This quilt was made by cutting out train pictures from fabric and sewing them into the quilt.

Looking Up - I like paper piecing and this was one of my first quilts that I paper pieced.

Butterfly Stars - Made for Hoffman Fabric Challenge 2004. All stars and binding are made from the challenge fabric. Hand quilted in purple thread with original quilting motifs that I drew on a napkin at a restaurant. Juried into the Hoffman traveling exhibit.

Woodland Wildflowers - Purchased center panel is surrounded by a variety of 4" blocks in colors to coordinate with the center panel. Many crystals were added for sparkle.
